I sent a care package to family in San Diego and the only bottle that didn't make it was the bottle of FBS I sent, which was the best beer I sent

Just read this in a magazine we subscribe to: http://gardenandgun.com/article/wild-brew

Any Texas ants ever heard of this brewery? It seems pretty interesting.

yes, though I've only had one of their offerings, the Black Metal stout

They are one of the more unique craft beer brewers in the state. The article is right, most of these guys try to break in with the standard brown/amber/wheat line-up

Austin really is getting some great beers lately though

Re: Favorite beer of choice?

So the next release in Founders Backstage Series is Frangelic Mountain Brown, and there is only 1 liquor store in Indy that i have checked with that knows they are getting it next friday. I called and stopped by several other stores who couldn't commit to knowing anything about it. good thing I am first on the list at the 1 store that does know what the fuck is going on....

Kahn's downtown said they thought they were getting Apocalypse Cow sometime soon...took my name and number and told me they'd call me when/if it comes in. Waiting for that call every day, hoping to hear soon.

Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Not really a fan of smoked or chili beers but this Stone Smoked Porter with Chipotle Peppers is pretty money. Mild enough character from the peppers and smoke to allow for an enjoyable beer without being over the top like so many are. Good stuff.

Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Right now, I'll go with Muskoka Mad Tom IPA - VERY good brew.

On a beer-related note: I once heard of an outstanding retail location to purchase beer... somewhere near Buffalo, I think. But this kernel of info has been lost along the way. I think it might have been off the I-290... but not entirely sure of that even!!
Any retailers of fine beer in the Buffalo area you could pass my way?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I say this every time I have it, but Double Jack is ridiculously good. It has definitely become one of my favorite double IPAs. Delicious.

I had a Chatoe Rogue First Growth Single Malt Ale and a Kelpie Seaweed Ale

Both were amazingly delicious.

Yeah, I want to say I've seen it here in MA but I could be wrong. Has it even been distributed yet? I bought the 22 last night.
