Yeah I know!! Saw him spark up a couple times lol
In retrospect we could've snuck in any number of illegal things in Josh's backpack. If I'd have known that I'd have brought my big camera.

What tape is the best?

I am downloading Crumbo's right now but I see that mrpeters has uploaded one as well.. has anyone heard them both that can comment on which is better?

Thanks to both of the tapers!

Moon Man is great! I kinda wish it hadn't been as hot N1 'cause I was jonesing for a beer but didn't want to get dehydrated after working 7-3:15PM before I traveled to Alpine. Long day

Re: *^*^* Alpine 2012 *^*^*

I'm not normally one to post, but felt compelled to after a weekend like we just experienced. I didn't think I could love this band any more, but after this weekend - being near the front of the pit both nights, meeting so many other fans, sharing our stories - I am at an all-time high. In my 22 shows, I have never seen the band on the level that they were at this past weekend at Alpine - they absolutely LOVE what they're doing. The camaraderie, not only between band member and band member, but between band members and fans, and even between fans and other fans, was something special. I found myself hugging other people after the show that I had only met 4 hours earlier. I might be biased, but this is the only band that I know of that has that kind of power. We were part of a truly epic moment this weekend - I have yet to process it all. But here's what I do know about the weekend: We witnessed a great band playing great music amongst great people at a great place. For the time being, I'm just basking in the glow of what was a legendary weekend. Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin!

My thoughts exactly! Saturday was my 22nd show as well and my mind is absolutely blown after this weekend!! There is just really something special going on between this band and the fans when they come to Alpine and this weekend was definitely my favorite, with 2008 a close second. DMB + Alpine = One Sweet World. Great Set. Great Weekend. Incredible time!

It's hard to choose tapes. They're all very good. I think I saw 5 or 6 rigs up on n1. N2 only 4 I think.

I think we have dubbed ourselves jobs TC! It's like being a nurse but handing out jello that makes people happy?? Idk that sounded better in my head.

The best part is our intentions were to down whatever was left just the two of us. Hahahaha Thank GOD we met friends to share with or we would probably be found naked in portapotties

There was a large group next to me, front of the lawn on the right (blue Rachael's Hope shirts, very cool people and good fans) who said they would be pissed if Thank You was played. Only one of them actually refused to have a good time, the rest were loving it.
You're talking about my group. We had a great time, we were just a little sad that they would end on a cover. The person who "refused to have a good time" just hated the group next to her because they would try to scat with Dave the entire show. I loved Dave dancing at the end of the song. That was awesome. Overall, I had an awesome weekend with my friends who were wearing those Rachael's Hope shirts in support of our friend! WE <3 YOU RACHAEL!

Re: *^*^* Alpine 2012 *^*^*

Finally back to work and am sitting down listening to the Alpine tapes.

Just got to Blue Water.... chills.

So upsetting though that Boyd didn't just keep going cause it looked like he wanted to. Very happy I was there to see that.

Also, is it bad that I just realized that the word "Taper" is outdated? Wonder if kids would even know what we're talking about in that regard.

Re: *^*^* Alpine 2012 *^*^*

so i've listened up to 41 and i must say this show is just incredible. Some of the best musical moments on classic (and new) songs i've heard in a while, and daves vocals are more or less spot-on and you can tell the energy is through the roof. This show has me sold on Gaucho. This one is really coming around in a great way!!

that minarets is so good! can't wait to hear it at gorge!
