btw, I'm TBH_Beta on that social networking thing we'll all forget about in two months. So if you were followed, that's me.

Speaking of which, remember that month or so in like 2008/2009 when we were all hooked into each other's iTunes libraries via a third party program? Good times.

Just spun this for the first time. Felt like it was missing something. Maybe I need to hear it in context of the rest of the record.

Wow, we're on the same page today.

I can't speak to how the new Z2B compares to the two previous ones because I didn't listen to them.

Uncaged is pretty eclectic. There's a reggae-sounding track, an R&B one with Trombone Shorty. The first track was co-written with Jason Mraz. It's decent, but nothing mind blowing.

Zac Brown Band - Uncaged
NP: Tallest Man - There's No Leaving Now

The run from Leading Me Now to Wind and Walls is gold.

Re: Album of the Day

If all that was on that album was a twenty minute track of him playing the Leaving Me Now riff over and over it'd still be a good album.

Re: Album of the Day

New Menomena track, and I personally love it. It's exactly what I predicted: a fuller sounding Lackthereof, in the best possible way.

http://pitchfork.com/news/47163-new-...Latest+News%29

Menomena may have otherwise gotten lost in the September shuffle, given that they're down their lead songwriter from the past, but this was pretty great.

Re: Album of the Day

Deep Time Deep Time

Really enjoying this little LP. The lead vocalist really kind of reminds me of Laetitia Sadier, backed by surf-inflected pop-rockers that sound like they could easily fit into the soundtrack to a 60's spy series. It's got a wonderfully spacious recording, with crispy bass-lines and rattling guitars, and buzzing synth-organs.

Finished The Wire today, so I'll be jumping back into some movies (though also starting Treme). Pi, Half Nelson, and The Machinist are on my short list.

But that is all after TDK Trilogy tomorrow
