Pretty bold statement about it being the best one in 10 years.

Anyways, I find listing activities that you do outside or trades make the people more attracted to your profile than the standard TV and movies do.

I hate when people list everything.

Is kayaking really a hobby if you do it once a year?

Exactly. You can't list that type of shit unless that's what you fucking do all the time or at least on a regular basis.

I have had absolutely zero success with any online dating in the past few months and even less success in the regular dating world. Kind of sucks but really I just need to go do shit more often.

Where did I say list stuff you do once in a year?

If anything, I said the opposite because I mentioned trades. To say you are skilled in a trade, means you do it often or you wouldn't be good at it. A guy I saw mentioned he was a woodworker. Pretty sexy trade if you ask me.

What single guy doesn't become a pretty accomplished woodworker?

I don't know, hobbies, no hobbies, good ones, bad ones....my philosophy is be honest, articulate, intelligent and see what happens.

I try to list things I do that are important because it's important to me we have these things in common.

I am still trying to decide if it's all about the pictures or what you write matters. Is any girl going to pass on talking to a handsome man cause he says dumb shit?

These next few weeks are going to be long without seeing this girl. What terrible timing for vacations.

I'd pass on him if I wanted a real relationship. If I wanted to fuck, I'd talk to him. Depends where you are in your life. I thought my boyfriend was too hot to talk to me but I gave it a shot anyways. Luckily he was hot and smart. At that point, I was looking to find a serious relationship as I had already slept my way through a good portion of local singles.

Didn't say that you were doing that. I was just agreeing with Jordan that it's ridiculous. I wish I were good at wood working.

Since I became single I've definitely gotten better at the guitar. Seems to be much easier to throw yourself into a hobby.

Day 6 of no contact complete. I'm investing myself in my job. I'm reading books for pleasure. I'm beginning to exercise more regularly. I was in NYC yesterday to hang out with some old friends.

Despite all that, I feel like shit. This is going to be a process.

Alli is right. I was living with a girl that I'd been dating for 4 years.

It takes time, and even once you start going through the day no problem, you'll wake up the next morning and relapse into feeling like shit from time to time.

Just keep with the no contact.

Definitely keep with the no contact. The shittiness goes away eventually as long as you don't keep adding to the shitpile with contact.

It's a good sign if this girl is keeping up communication on her vacation, right? Granted, just texts, but I've just been letting her start things and we've been going back and forth a bit every other night pretty much.

I declined an invitation to a wedding of a friend who is getting married next weekend after having been with the chick less than 8 months. I said I already had plans to be out of town (it is Labor Day weekend after all) and I couldn't make it. For all I know, I'll be sitting on the couch in my underwear getting drunk that Saturday.

All the weddings I have been to this summer were for couples that were together 3 years or more and you knew them as a couple, not (dude's name) and his little known fiancee (what's her tits). I'm selfishly going to save my time and money not to attend this hastily planned wedding.

Not an asshole at all. Girl I dated a few years ago got engaged and married in less than two years of knowing her dude. Pretty sad

All the weddings I have been to this summer were for couples that were together 3 years or more and you knew them as a couple, not (dude's name) and his little known fiancee (what's her tits). I'm selfishly going to save my time and money not to attend this hastily planned wedding.

I'm not even certain you can really pull together a proper wedding in less than 8-months. She knocked up? Save your money for his next marriage.

Why is that sad? I asked my fiance to marry me on the anniversary of our first date. Our engagement has lasted a longer than a year, but it would have been very easy to plan a wedding within that time frame.

They got engaged at like 8 months and married a year later.

I think it's at a VFW or some shit. It'll be proper enough to get the job done. Not sure the hurry, unless they think marriage is like locking in an interest rate.
