Apparently, in the EU, you cannot travel if your passport expires less than three months to the date of your return. My wife's was a week shy of that. Nowhere is this listed on Costco Travel or Air France.....just that you must have a valid passport...apparently the term "valid" is up for interpretation.
So trip had to be 100% canceled.

Didn't know you could book a trip through Costco, what's next, booking trips through Wal-Mart, Tar-shay, and K-Mart? Although I like Costco because they treat their workers like people and not human resources, I'd never book a trip through them. Generally rule of thumb, the larger the corporation, the harder it will screw you over.

I also have to work Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas and NYE and the 2nd.

I would never take a salaried job unless the hours were clearly spelled out and overtime was set at 40 hours per week, not 50 or 60. It ends up working out to a lower pay rate than you'd earn on an hourly wage then...and most people regret taking a salary. My buddy manages a store in the mall and he is working every day of November until the end of January, from open to close (10am or 11am until 8pm or 10pm) So that's up to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week...guy makes 28,000 salary. That's ridiculous.

Chinese people will drive through anything. I had a delivery during an 8 inch snow storm here in SC. I tipped him 10 dorra on a $15 order.
