The next day he quit his job within the basketball office, which he had held for three years, The Chronicle said, citing the information he was told about Sulaimon.

Duke deputy director of athletics Mike Cragg then requested a meeting with Wensley, The Chronicle said. Six days after Wensley met with Cragg, Sulaimon was dismissed from the team.

It's really embarrassing for the Big XII as a conference that Kansas has won that many in a row. I know it speaks to how good of a program Kansas has been too, but yikes.

Would hope KU fans would trade those Big 12 titles for another national title. I mean it's a cool thing but regular season conference titles are pretty meaningless in college basketball

This thought that you can only have one or the other boggles my mind. In hindsight would I trade them? Sure. But it's not like you can't have both. If you want to get into the debate of whether or not Bill Self coaches his team with one of those goals in mind over the other, then that's a different conversation. Winning your conference every year just guarantees that you'll have a shot at a National Title, which in a one and done format is all you can really hope for.

As far as regular season titles being meaningless goes, they're no more meaningless than a conference tournament title or a Final Four berth. The only thing that really has meaning at the end of the day is a National Title. Only one team is going to win that, so you might as well pick up as much as you can on the ride.
