Re: Dating is miserable

Houston, we have lift off...

I don't think we will ever become something, she seems pretty convinced that she isn't a good situation for me to chase, but it didn't stop us from making our way to the bedroom. The conversation sucked and we both were teary eyed, but the sex was great. Interesting Saturday to say the least.

Yeah there is that little snag... I don't think it will happen. At least not any time soon. I've got 2 semesters of school left, she is here in Houston living her life, timing is just way wrong. She gave me the you deserve better speech and how she isn't good for me, but it doesn't change much. I'm still crazy about her and think we could be way happy as a couple. Maybe it will happen down the road, maybe not. Just enjoying what I have right now because it is pure bliss and way more than I ever imagined.

Don't worry about the B/F dude. If you did not ask her on a one on one date, you should be ok. Any update?

Oh man, well it sounds like you have the right attitude about it all. I'm glad it went well enough for you and you're both having fun. As long as it's not completely awkward there is hope for the future. Finish up school and see where things are then. For now just enjoy!

I am in a situation where this guy is about 18 steps ahead of me. He is making plans for October to go to his cousins wedding in Virginia and I'm not even sure I like him at this point.

This always happens to me. They like me way more than I like them or vice versa.

October is pretty close so I don't think it's that odd, if you don't want to go tell him

My attitude is I conquered the biggest goal I've ever set for myself when it came to a girl. Even if nothing ever comes from this, my heart is at peace knowing I gave it a shot and hit the mark. She insists on not wanting to break my heart. She knows how much of a romantic I am and said I am in love with the idea of her rather than the real her. She talked about how all of her relationships are 6-8 months and she doesn't want me to just be another one on the list.

We will probably talk more tonight but as for now, I'm on top of the world.

I agree. I would be upfront about not wanting to attend.

When you say 18 steps ahead, do you mean emotionally?

Last day in Houston today. She is out running errands, gonna meet her for lunch and then who knows for the rest of the evening. Bittersweet day for obvious reasons. It has been a rollercoaster of a week with her, but it has been nothing short of a transformative experience. Don't know when the next time I will see her is, I may bring it up today/tonight, but I sorta wanna leave it open to see if she asks.

Either way i'm leaving Houston tomorrow a changed man with nothing but happiness in my heart.

Had a second date with a girl. Ended up with us doing some making out on the couch at her place but didn't proceed any further. It was a fun night and I thought everything went well. It's been three days and communication has gone pitch black. Go figure.

I always looked to round 2 as the make or break date. Had some great 1st dates before and then it was like it never happened on date 2 and it was a stunning failure. Other times it only built on the great first round.

    Hope it goes well!
