I don't follow Phish's tours, but don't they play there 13 straight nights sometime this year? I'd be really interested to know how big their crowds are.

Which brings up an interesting poll someone should start. If DMB was the main act thirteen straights nights at the same venue, how many shows would you attend?

I'm pretty sure Phish has announced their two Mexico runs early/mid-Summer. That's a big and expensive vacation that requires more planning than your typical domestic runs. They offer payment plans that involve 4-5 payments stretched over a few months.

I believe this debate was had somewhere on this board. I personally don't believe as many people would attend all 13 as they will for Phish. At the same time, it doesn't appear Phish will sell out any of the shows. If they do, it'll likely be the last show only. The weeknight shows they aren't even selling seats behind the stage.

DMB could prob sell out a 2-3 night run, though. Especially considering how long it's been since they've played there.

I was just going to say this about Mexico

I believe the first year for Phish they announced in the fall (like D+T), but then for the next year they announced in the summer.

I hope the announcement is later but I wouldn't be surprised if it's soon. As you said it takes more planning and an extended payment plan.....

Bad news for those of us on the West coast. I asked their promoter about West coast dates for Dave and Tim and here's his response. Sorry to deliver the bad news but maybe it will make ya want to travel east to see a Dave and Tim show.

Here's what he had to say: "They are not adding anything now...and they have told us that Dave is on vacation until 2018 after June 18. They will do Farm Aid and maybe some beneffits but Tim will be doing TR3 and Solo Tim rest of the year."

As I said, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I thought I'd share it with y'all. Much love!

Well, if they don't want my money, Thanks. I'll just save it. It's too late to travel back east, especially when the shows are essentially sold out by this point. L...A...M...E.....if you ask me. I guess West Coast fans are unimportant. At least it sounds like they have time to play high priced shows in Mexico annually.

The only time I've seen Dave solo was at Bridge School, and saw that really early when I started going to shows. Loved all of the vibes (lots of different music fans, but also wanting to support the students) of those shows. Hopefully it will be brought back.

Meh, that's fine. I've already made my Summer/Labor Day plans. I'm sure Dave & Co. knows the West Coast was left off. We'll get something eventually. If not, give me Gorge again next year and I'm good.

Bridge School thing does suck though. I've heard a lot of great things about that event.

Hopefully Dave does this weekend of shows then only Farm Aid and that's it. He needs a break. Then Dave and Tim Mexico in February and full band back in the summer.... hopefully

I'd always hoped Neil would pass the concert down to Eddie Vedder, given the Youngs obviously couldn't do it forever. But finding alternative ways to fund the school is important too.

If it happened, they would really start the tour in late April/early May I'm sure. Mexico would just be a gig.
