Public sites suck. Get invites to the good ones.

First I go to Pirate Bay and see if they have a good quality torrent.. if it's not there then I'll go to Demonoid and see if they have it... and finally, I'll go to what.cd and they pretty much always have what I'm looking for. But... I try to use what.cd as sparingly as I can because it's the hardest one to keep a good ratio on

Torrents.to allows you to search a bunch of different torrent sites like Pirate Bay, Isohunt, Demonoid (my personal favorite) at the same time.

pirate bay just gave me some nasty malware today. Took me a few hours to get rid of it. I hadn't even finished download the torrent (tv show episode), only downloaded the torrent file.

Pirate Bay is a cesspool for viruses, malware, spyware now. Ever since the trial it's been used as a source for the corporations to throw out fake torrents only to upset the downloading community. I'd stray away from anything that goes back to Pirate Bay's server. Unless demonoid has it verified.
