my favorite is the Central Park Release, i think it was the first interpolation of 'For what it's worth' could be wrong though, but that was a great version with Warren Haynes


so far we've done these songs, here's the consensus:
Minarets - versions from 95 era basically, 'Tomorrow never knows' intro, BOWA release from that year
Last stop - Live in chicago release,
Typical situation - no real consensus, maybe we'll come back to it.
Warehouse - Piedmont release and BOWA Live Disc release
Proudest Monkey - studio release was the most popular, with 6.7.96 in second, 3rd Rothbury 08.
Seek up - 7.30.01, honorable mentions to RR95 and Gorge realease '02.
Say Goodbye - BOWA release had the most votes, Live trax 3 in 2nd.
Bartender - 8.19.08 at the Staples Center, a lot of mention for Folsom field.
Two step - '08 and '09 versions DC/MSG/Alpine/Starlake. RR95 and Central park.
#41 - 4.20.02, ,Listener Supported, studio was popular too.
Shotgun - 6.10.06 seemed to be the favorite
Dancing Nancies - Central park, honorable mentions to RR95
Too Much - LT8 8.7.2004, honorable mentions to LT2 Golden gate (best outro in my opinion) also Central Park
One Sweet World - LT5 Meadow Brook, Michigan 8.23.95. Mentions to LT2 Golden Gate SF and Piedmont Release.

Fenway 5.29.09 is the best version i have ever seen or heard, the solos were perfect, dave's scat was awesome, and the Sexy MF interpolation was AWESOME.

Honorable mentions go to 8.23.95 and 4.30.96

Jones beach - night 2 - 2009

One of the most superb Jimi's I have heard. Why? The crowd sung the whole thing!!! Really - Dave let the crowd sing more than he usually does and came in at the perfect times. Jeff's solo was about to finish and Dave started yelling at Rashawn to take a solo, which KILLED!...An amazing scat playing tribute to the frog in his throat...followed by an even more amazing solo by TR (it out did Warrens at CPK) and then the Sexy MF Outro which I could listen to for 2.5 hours straight. Hearing Boyd in his voice saying sexy motha fucka shakin' that ass.......its too much! Tight sound all around and although I miss the "for what its worth" the 2009 version of DMB does an excellent job this night and one of the best Jimi's I have ever heard, if not, the best!

hahaha...looks like you should ease up on the Jager Bombs and get a new haircut...look at my list of shows...of course I know the crowd sings at every venue...but listen to the tapes and you'll hear the crowd sing MORE than just the first half of the first (and maybe second) verse...also kind of obtuse to call Jones beach a "home venue" when their shows there this year were the first in a long time......I'm from queens...MSG and SPAC are my home

My personal favorite is Hershey 7/10/04. The entire version is delivered perfectly vocally while being extremely funky (Roi solo) followed by the Perfect scat. The "Most Important thing in the world" ending to the scat gives me chills every time.
