DMB and College Football Segues

So I know that DMB has reached an agreement with ABC/ESPN to have their music played going into and out of commercials for the 09-10 season. And from what I've seen of ABC/ESPN coverage over the past two weeks, DMB is the ONLY band that has had their music used during the segues. So if I had just been watching the Ohio State vs. USC game, which I was, and I heard some music that sounded "DMB-esque" while they were seguing to a commercial, but I can guarantee it was not an officially released song (on any studio or live album), is it safe to assume that this was a snippet of some unreleased studio material? Or some other band's music?

Based on the fact that I've heard nothing, and I mean nothing but DMB during commercial segues over the past two weeks, I would assume that this was unreleased studio material that has yet to be heard by most, if not all of the DMB fanbase, which means my ears will be perked up during every segue for the rest of the season.

**EDITED** Nevermind, over the past couple of commercials I've heard more and more non-DMB tunes, must be a false-alarm. Sorry

id love it if i thought this were the case...but i dont think that they would release new stuff on ESPN, or ABC during football games...or at least not without anyone knowing about it before hand

Fixed with the correct emphasis. I live there so my allegiances existed and will last longer than 4 years.

You must be missing a whole lot of commercial breaks, because only about half have been DMB. Granted that's a huge percentage, but the other half has been a bunch of other random stuff.

Fair enough. Maybe I'm subconciously only paying attention when a DMB song comes on, which is very likely.

I watched the UVa/TCU game on ESPNU earlier and literally every commercial break they used a DMB song, Too Much and Ants got a lot of play. They don't use as much for bigger games it seems.

when i was watching the UConn game today, they had squirm as a segue into a commercial...it was pretty damn cool.
