Listening to central park!

Damn, haven't listened to this in quite awhile(scared it would be ruined!) and it is my favorite dmb disc of all time. Great mix of songs, great vocals, great crowd! Wish I had been there!

Show some love! If you were there share some stories!

I just started listening to CP, and the clicking annoyed me so much that I castrated myself. Now I will never have any children. Thanks OP!

Great show, and while overrated, people would flip shit if a set like this got played in 09.

True. And if they played that set in 2009, the performance would most likely be much better IMO.

I'm not sure if this is a myth or only on the CD's or what but I watched CP all the way thru and there's no clicking.

Re: Listening to central park!

at work the other night (SWB Yankees parking lot) the Bud Light party truck came in and set up right in front of the gate. the back lifts up displaying 3 flat screen tvs with four 6" Kicker speakers connected to them. what do they put in? disk 1 of Central Park. that was a gooooooood night at work.

Re: Listening to central park!

This show was around the time that the band started to get boring to me. I liked it ok, but it is nothing special. of the live releases they officially released, Listener Supported is still perhaps the ultimate performance by DMB. Just super solid top to bottom. I'll take Red Rocks 95 next for sure. Central Park seemed like they were at the top of their game, but on cruise control really. And some of the stories about how the band was doing personally during the time period would bear out some of that now. I could never quite put my finger on what was "wrong" with the stuff they were releasing live from around then, but now I can.

I have not listened to this show in years. It just doesn't do much for me.

Re: Listening to central park!

The clicking jokes are taking over...let's try to save this thread "Choose Your Adventure" Style:

If you want to read or make jokes about how the clicking made you run up on stage at the VMA's and ruin some nice young girl's big night, go here: http://antsmarching.org/forum/showthread.php?t=248312

If you actually want to discuss the show itself, keep reading this thread.

Re: Listening to central park!

Did we really need another CP thread? Does Jake need to hold another class on using the search function? You could have added your comments to one of the dozens of threads that already exist on the topic.

Did we really NEED any thread? Since we didn't politely ignore or discuss the topic using free will.

Bonus CD is awesome. CP is OK I guess. The Dvd is cool. But I'd rank the show behind red rocks, LS, and Live in Chicago

ehhhhhhhh. i love LT2, but personally I don't think it even touches Central Park. Sure it has a little more diverse and not so standard setlist, but Central Park is absolute perfection, from a performance standpoint.

No offense or personal attack on anyone with this opinion, but I think the opinion that Central Park is overrated is absolutely insane.
