So my friends sister & her friend are on line walking into Camden N2 show...

and some completely random dude walks up to them and hands them a non-descript white envelope and tells them not to look inside until he walks away. They say ok, he walks away, they open the envelope and what do they find?

Two front row tickets to the show. Needless to say they were stoked. Just so happens that the friend of my friends sister happened to be at her very first show! I'm jealous...

I had two great etra tickets to phish one year at Mansfield. As I was walking into the show I asked if anyone wanted them. Two different people did...so I asked them each to do a talent so I could decide. People started to gather at that time. The girl who wanted to tickets told everyone to spread out in a circle and then proceded to rip off a string of gymnastic flips and what-not from one side of the circle to the other. Everyone staretd clapping and the boy who also wanted to tickets just walked away. The girl jumped on me and gave me a big hug - she was so happy. It was a great moment!

Well, in fairness to this good samaritan, what was he supposed to do? Hold a "Super Fans Only" DMB Trivia quiz to decide who he gave them away to?

Awesome story! Something similar to this happened to my Mom back in the 70's for a Springsteen show. She was a diehard and somebody she knew won 3rd row tickets and gave them to her. She says it may have been the best day of her life (which would mean better than the day I was born)..but as a lover of music myself, I understand.

N2 Gorge this year, on lawn, about seven songs in, a woman came up and gave me her ticket to the floor since she wanted to sit with her GF on the lawn. Pretty cool.

Yeah but Beacon was different they upgraded as many folks as they could.... I only got "upgraded" to lower balcony for that show. Anyway, I'm not complaining, just stating a fact

they did, and it was really fucking annoying. the one girl was more worried about getting her friend's attention than watching the show. boyd was soloing right in front of her and she was looking backwards the entire time. another girl spent the entire jam to jimi with her back to the stage and her arms around her bf. why even bother being in the front when the concert is just secondary to everything else.

give those seats to people who are there for the performance. if you don't care about seeing the band, then sit in the damn lawn. it took me 18 shows to get that close and i dont know when i'll ever get that close again. but unlike most of the people who are down front, i actually give a shit about the band and the concert. those seats should be reserved for people who actually know whats going on.
