Dave Matthews Band To Play Saturday Night Live

Just got word that the band will play on the November 21st episode. The host is looking to be Jim Carrey.

EDIT: Looks like it was also confirmed by Jeff

As you mentioned, original Flecktone Howard Levy is playing some dates in November. How did that come about?

I know the crew always offers at least 1 sketch to the musican/s if they are up for it.

They will obviously perform "You & Me". I wonder if for the 2nd song they will do another one from the new album or a classic.

Also, will they get a 3rd song hmm U2 got one. and sometimes they allow an artist to do 3 songs. Probably not since "u2 is bigger"

Probably, but I heard rumors they might bust out SMLAM as a single though. Nothing official however.

well i guess i'll have to sit through that crapfest that has become Saturday Night Live to see this. That show absolutely blows these days. It isn't even funny in the slightest sense of the word. The last thing i laughed at on that show was the Dick in a Box thing. Besides that it hasnt been funny in years.

well, remember. coldplay performed about 4 songs when they were on. 3 of them were shown in full. the last one was cut off by the credits but yeahhh...

theyll prob play 2 songs, yeah sometimes bands play more but the majority play 2. The really really really big bands play more. Yeah DMB has been around for a while and has a huge fanbase but they dont have the recognition in popularity sense of a Coldplay or U2. Those are bands that are widely talked about because they're always in the spotlight. DMB is more low key so they dont get as much publicity.
