4th Annual Ants Perfect Show (RESULTS)

Alright...so the results are in. 3 damn good looking sets if I do say so myself.

Below are some interesting stats(my count):

Lover Lay Down: 0/16
Cry Freedom: 0/15
Shake Me: 0/12
What You Are: 0/12
Stay: 0/11
Seven: 0/9

Not to say anything for the at least 7 fails of stay or leave (never higher than 7th) and kit kat jam - 9 fails of Seven (only once placing higher than 7th) - 11 fails of Stay (6th,7th,7th,8th,9th,9th,10th,10th,10th,10th,10th) - 13 fails for Shake Me - 15 fails for what you are - 15 fails for Cry Freedom and a record 16 fails for Lover Lay Down (only once coming in higher than 4th)

(there were 8 slots I couldn't find so this is only looking at 46 of the 54 slots)

Thanks to everyone that voted and feel free to throw you in your vote for the irrelevant "Venue Vote" above.

Also, thanks to those that kept the polls on the first page with their chatter. That always helps us to get the most accurate totals. Highlander4, Lewis, Waltz, Ricky "Crash Into Me" h24, etc...

Fun times! Thanks for doing all the work. Great looking shows, although I think they could have been even better with the songs you list above in place of some of a few that made it.

Exactly. LLD goes 0/16 and Shotgun makes it on one try. Pretty rough.

Shotgun is the only real bad spot in these 3 nights if you ask me as well. And I am not saying Shotgun is awful or anything I just think we could have had about 10 other songs there....

Even doing 3 nights, this year's sets are easily the best.

No problem...and yeah, I agree. 3 nights of 18 songs is the way to go.

Re: 4th Annual Ants Perfect Show (RESULTS)

Great looking shows for sure. Shotgun does look pretty lame on the set, it's sad, because I used to love the song. I'm okay with Why I Am being in night one. Squirm looks pretty out of place too. If Cry Freedom took the place of Squirm and Lover Lay Down took the place of Shotgun, these shows would be totally off the hook. They're still great looking though.

Last year I made play lists for the shows with officially released material. Uploading that would be illegal. I would love to have a listening party for these shows however. I would be willing to put something together with help of some others. I saw that Waltzing said he'd be interested in doing something. I think if it's done, it needs to be done right.

For example: The Stone is in the opening slot. The Stone chosen for the listening party should not include Dave saying something about only "playing a few more songs" or something like that. If that part is included in the version chosen, I think it would be cool to at least edit it out. What I'm trying to get at is that it would be cool if the show flowed like a real one would.

I think that nearly everyone has some live version of all of these songs. For the listening party, everyone should just put together their own playlist and everyone hit play at the same time. Everyone will finish at different times, but not by much.

i think we should put together a listening party... only official releases. it's just fun to be on the same song as everyone else. but yeah- we should only do official releases because everyone has those.
One Sweet World LT5, Halloween from the Gorge, #41 LT7... If the OP wants, he should get to pick

Nah, I'll let everyone pick their own versions. That's pretty much the spirit of this whole thing.

My only suggestion is that everyone use the Seek Up->Heartbeat->PNP->Rapunzel from LT1...cause it's just badass.

I refuse to believe a perfect three night stand can happen without Seven. But amazing sets.

It's your own playlist, so you'll be the only one there listening to your playlist.

On another note, I'd be curious to see which versions everyone chooses for their sets. I know which versions of songs I like, but everybody's taste is different (obviously). Maybe we could eventually find out which the most listened to versions were...not necessarily a task I'm willing to take on.

I thought about the same versions to start and finish in the same time. That's all.

so we're doing the choose your own version thing? because i admit that's definitely a lot easier for me than finding and downloading exceptional performances of all those songs i'll still do it if you guys want though
