remember when . . .

. . . they said there was going to be a new warehouse page?

watdafuxup?

my membership is up at the end of the month and I am thinking about not renewing, by far the worst "fan" site on the net. id rather be in the U2 fan club and i HATE U2. Ive had better luck getting good tickets on craigslist lately anyway. Maybe next years membership package will have plastic holders for those cheap cardboard coasters! awesome!

anyone else not renewing?

Re: remember when . . .

what, you don't enjoy all the estrogen on the WH boards?

seriously though, I see where you're coming from... but the slight hope that I'll score great tix to one night of a 2-night-stand, plus the poster drops, is what makes the $35/year worth it to me.

I'll never drop from the WH.

the $35 is worth getting killer seats. I'll never not renew.

if you're a Warehouse member, you get to request tickets before the public on-sale date.

Usually the day before the public on-sale date, you'll find out if you get confirmed or denied. They do the confirmations completely randomly.

Then, once they have the "confirmed" list, they order them by seniority and give the people on top of the list (those with highest seniority) the best seats, and so on, and so forth... EXCEPT for one night of a multi-night stand, which will be completely random seating assignments as well.

Thanks. So they do "give" you seats if you get lucky?

I didn't think so. So if you get "confirmed" for a show they hold seats for you to purchase? is that how it works? The WH has seats that are for members. Are they normal price compared to non WH seats?

The site is ugly, but are you really paying for a website?

They provide great services and benefits. That's what I pay for.

Can't imagine not renewing...

The WH tickets are the same "face value" price as tickets you'll find on TM or LiveNation, although you might save a couple bucks on the ridiculous fees. When you request tickets from the WH you give them a credit card number. You can not be confirmed for tickets without this payment information. Once confirmed, they charge you for the tickets and then weeks or sometimes months later you find out where your seats are. In most cases, seating assignments are based on seniority. So, if you were to join now, 11 years after the first people joined in 1998, you are pretty much guaranteed to get average seats at best. You might be able to get better seats from LiveNation now than with no seniority in the WH, or even better seats from the ticket boards on this and other sites.

Oh, and WH does the ordering and shipping themselves in-house.

Re: remember when . . .

I have had a membership since '02, I like the fact that I can preorder early and not have to worry about having to log onto Live Nation at a certain time on a certain day to get tickets. I only go to one show a year, and my seats are not that bad. I always go to the show in St. Louis, I'm always upper center but my row gets closer every year. When they played Busch I was 13th row dead center, and at Farm Aid I was lower center row r. Plus, I like the Warehouse 5 that comes with package every year.

Cheaper face value tickets.

Camden. N2. Warehouse face - $75.
Live Nation Face - $80.

Same section.

Re: remember when . . .

it's always been hit or miss. i've been a member since 01. my number is 183,xxx. i've only been declined once and that was for a two night stand in which i was confirmed for the first night. but my seats have never been anything good at all. always upper reserved. usually like row KK. i was lucky once and had the side view like 5th row but that's it. I'm sure i'll keep renewing though. It's not that expensive and I don't have to fight TM to get tix.

thats the thing though the membership just keeps growing and growing. if your not a long time standing member you dont get these great seats you speak of. and it is just bad business to tell everyone that it will be updated and then not update it. I thought you said something back in the spring that the new website was coming "shortly". anyway thats really besides the point i was just trying to say that the warehouse is a shitty fan site.

Proof would be this website. Thousands times better and you dont have to pay to be here. Just get the ticket requests over here.

Re: remember when . . .

It's not just the look, it's all fucked. They haven't updated ANYTHING from the website (can't give specific examples, can't go look) and the boards fuck up a lot. The seats made that worth it- as a first year member I got better seats TM was offering.

Re: remember when . . .

ive got better seats this year from live nation than warehouse. people were pulling 3rd row for scranton day of. honestly i saw this other fella on here in a debate bout a similiar topic. he said he gets his best seats day of show at the venue. say a show is at 7pm got to the front ticket area, they usually release some day of show. or they release seats that were supposed to be for "guests" of live nation dmb or whoever. he claims he does really well like that.
