In my opinion, the tunes from Stand Up would have been better received if it had been a d&t album rather than dmb. I feel like the members of dmb didn't connect musically on SU, rather just went through and did your typical western harmonies and rythems.

Seeing as how Dave pretty much has given up on original licks and went to standard chords, or the use of octaves, the base of the music wouldn't change. It's not like Tim is going to start writing music for dave. Tim would definitely use different modes, scales, etc than boyd, or fonz. Although sometimes I question Tim's ability to write music.

He writes awesome complementary parts to DMB songs, though, Tim does.
