How often do you think Dave gets heckled on the street?
Really... It's almost not even worth mentioning that I like them in a group of strangers because I almost certainly will get a look of disgust by someone and have to defend my position. Anyway, this morning I woke up and a friend of mine actually posted on his facebook status "I hate Dave Matthews, whose with me?" He had about 15 people that commented that they agree, and maybe 2 that didn't. Because so many people out their hate DMB for whatever reason, how often do you think Dave gets heckled on the street? I am sure it has happened; by I wonder if it is rare, or rather common. Thoughts?

Anyone who is as successful as DMB is will have many people who hate them. Just the way the world works. Remember there are still far more people who love DMB than hate them.

Yea I'm not a huge fan of the Jonas Bros. But more power to em I would never be an ass to someone because I didn't like their music or because their really popular. And Dave def knows he has crazy fans he's said it many times in interviews. I'm sure he's seen quite a bit of crazy in his day.

I think dave's voice is one of the factors even moreso than the music. It's unique, so it's easy to see why some really don't like it.

im surprised im the only one to put this idea out there.... he probably isnt recognized on the street more than once a day or so. Therefore, heckling probably is nil. Do you recognize the lead singer to Oasis, everclear, OAR, etc? Probably not enough to be sure to shout out something.

I don't understand how someone can hate a person they don't know that has done nothing wrong. They can not like them or not stand them but hate? People need lives.
Now you can hate his music, but that's not credible enough to say he should die or you hate him, or etc. I hate rap music but I don't going around wishing Kanye would get iced.

And if they actually talked to him, they might end up liking them. Out of my friends that love DMB, More than half of them used to hate DMB before they actually listened in depth to the music. Some of them are still stubborn, and whenever there is a conversation regarding music, they always just bring up "oh well this person isn't as good as DAVE, right?" -Its fairly annoying to not be able to carry on a conversation about music because you know that the argument will just be eclipsed by the sarcastic mentioning that "Dave" or "DMB is better, right?" |

considering most people who hate Dave wouldn't eve recognize him out on the street, i'm going to say its very rare for him to get heckled. if anything, its someone who is a fan trying to get an answer to why they play something shitty.
