It's very easily Alpine. That is an incredible one with Jeff taking a great solo. Great way to open the show.

Camden n2 Tim absolutely tears it up for much longer than normal. Dave is going into the monkey see monkey do outro as tim is still soloing

Yes, because Coffin takes the solo it takes the cake for best PM...in addition, Carter goes nuts on the drums, Tim has awesome fills behind Jeff's solo and Rashawn lays down a cool horn line. But continue on your bitterness...

because everything that played at alpine everyone here thinks is the greatest thing ever. and your argument of 2 live trax and plays these great shows furthers the bullshit venue wars that a show played at a one night stand venue like maryland heights or kansas city cant compare to the almighty Alpine. I heard bayou and smooth rider were great debuts this year

I understand the venue wars and all that bullshit.........I think it's ridiculous. But I give a strong debate for PM because it is the only one where Coffin takes the solo; making this particular version unique, fresh and different from the other versions that seem to be all the same basically. To add to discussion, I went to Alpine the 1st time ever this year and was VERY let down. N2 was a great show; but the overall 2 nighter combined let me down. I went to the Gorge last year and think it's head and shoulders better. In addition, I was at KC AND Maryland Heights; both those shows were better than Alpine without question! The energy was lacking at Alpine compared to the cds I've heard, the sound system was SO LOW in the front of the lawn. I could hear myself humming to some of the tunes. Maybe it was an "off" year to go, I dunno. YNK was titties though! So was my 1st Halloween......but Alpine isn't this "mecca" that it's cracked up to be. My argument is why say "Fuck Alpine" if you have no justification?

alpine. the surprise factor makes it for me, bein the first time they open a show with monkey since 95? and that one was a LT. and horns and carter are amazing on it. stop bitching bout venues. nowher in the thread does it ask your opinions on it

that kind of was my justification for it. I dont know i just like tims solos on proudest monkey. They should find a a way to put a jeff solo in the outro or something that be cool
