sure is, I don't know if I agree with him being a top 10 drummer of all time, like that one list posted on here a while back. He is/was apart of two groups that will definitely be remembered 20 years from now though, cant argue with that.

I think the foo fighters are actually one of the more respected groups that have came along in the last 10 or so years, not sure when they officially formed. I dig the foo fighters, they put on a great show as well.

I would say without question he's a talented musician... He plays multiple instruments extremely well, sings, and he's been a part of two of the most influential bands in modern rock in his career. I think that if anybody says otherwise, it's because they're being biased against him. Guy's a legendary musician... Maybe not talent-wise, but as a straight up musician, he's a really big deal.

You can debate whether or not he's an all time great but I think is absolutely idiotic to say the man is not a talented musician.

Dave Grohl is extremely talented. He can play drums, sing, and play guitar all on a world class level. With that being said, yes, I do find the Foo Fighters kinda cheesy, but they did put on a great show when I saw them live.

I think what sets him apart from the millions of people who can also play guitar, drums, and sing (that aren't nearly as successful) is his ability to write songs that just fucking rock.

I mean, what other contemporary artist (90's and beyond) has been an integral part of two well known bands? You have Matt Cameron of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam fame, but not many others. Dave Grohl possesses the talent gene.

You could make an argument with guys like Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Audioslave), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog), and Tom Morello (RAGE, Audioslave), Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle) but for the most part you'd be talking about a main band and a side project. Not to mention the fact that the level of BOTH bands has been substantial... Nirvana is arguably the most important rock band of the past 25 years, and the Foo Fighters are one of like 5 bands to come out of the 90's that are still making relevant alternative hard rock today.
