Are Any Members of DMB Your Favorite Musician of All-Time?

Would you say an individual member of DMB is your favorite musician of all-time on his respective instrument? Remember, "favorite" doesn't mean "best" so let's try not to get into that argument because that shit can go on for years.

I'd say Carter is without a doubt my favorite drummer ever, and he is personally my favorite musician to listen to. I'd put Tim up there on guitarists but not necessarily at the top, his acoustic work is what really puts him above alot of guys out there today.

Thoughts?

Yeah Dave is definitely one of my favorite writers for sure.

I don't know enough about the violin world to pass judgement on Boyd. I mean I love his playing and will always, but I guess he's my favorite by default since I probably couldn't name another violin player

I looove Jeff on the sax, but moreso from Flecktones work than DMB. Probably in my top 5 sax players. Carter is definitely one of my favorite all time drummers as well(probably 1), he was what got me into the band.

...and Boyd doesn't know how to play the violin.

Dave Matthews surely inspired me and influenced me more than any other person in the world sans my family at one point in my life. I don't listen to DMB too much these days, but when I do, I'm finding that I took Leroi's genius for granted when he was alive.

I think Dave is probably my favorite singer/songwriter. I know he has written some stinkers, but everything on UTTAD, Crash, and BTCS is quality work.

Carter is my favorite drummer, Leroi is my favorite saxophonist, Boyd is my favorite violonist (although there isn't anyone else I listen to challenging him for that position), but I have to with Colin Greenwood as my favorite bassist and Thom Yorke as my favorite writer/singer. Dave would be a very close second for that latter position, though.
