Re: Luther College vs Radio City

I was just thinking about this the other day. Luther is better for "old school" Dave and most people prefer Luther. I'm in the minority, I've been listening a lot to Radio City lately. That Two Step, Crush and #41 are nasty as are a lot of the songs on there. Both are fantastic.

Edit: I'm sure I'll be flamed for prefering Radio City,

I love Bartender on Radio City, but I love Warehouse on Luther... I chose RC because I've been listening to that the most lately.

I bought Luther in a used CD store for about $4, and it was the best purchase I ever made and is what made me a hardcore DMB fan.

i still will never forget hearing Luther for the first time. it was my first exposure to DMB and when one sweet world came on it honestly blew my mind how beautiful that guitar riff was. i didn't even go on to the other songs on the album for a good week...

Luther by miles...

both have their perks, but like so many others, luther college is really what got me into dmb so that has sentimental value.

Brings back memories. My first real exposure to Dave/DMB was Luther - borrowed my daugther's CD. Scanning thru tracks, I hit upon the Satellite riff and I kept replaying that song - couldn't even make it to the end of the song before I would hit replay. The second one I latched onto was Ants Marching. Again, kept hitting replay day after day on the way to work. I think the result was some kind of permanent sensory imprint on my brain that allows me to listen to DMB so much and never tire of them.

like ive been saying for the last 2 years after thousands of this same exact thread.. Luther absolutely blows radio city away... Dave's voice was spot on and it was during the prime of dave and the band..
