It's a female condom complete with angled teeth.

"The device is basically a female condom with teeth lining the inside that work just like the protective spikes in a parking garage… You can go in, but whatever you do, don’t back out. The teeth are angled so they allow penetration, but bite like a shark as the penis is removed, supposedly causing so much pain that it will give the woman a chance to escape. Hes asking why they allow it to go in, but cause the issues when it comes out.

Whats the intention here? To scare people into not raping them in the 1st place, or to trap them into doing it and catching them in the act?

that country is ridden with aids/HIV. it's an attempt to minimize the transmission of the disease. but since it can be transmitted via blood I have no idea why they think cutting dicks open will decrease this. good for the women having something though, they is way too much rape over there from what it sounds like.

Wouldn't blood from the wounds of the rapist encourage a greater spread of HIV/AIDS and other STDs? It's good they are attempting to find solutions to rape but one should consider the implications such a condom would have that could hurt the woman being raped.

It's a condom. Just like all other condoms, it's meant to keep bodily fluid from passing between bodies during sex. So, the girl has the condom in. The guy pulls out. If he doesn't get out fast enough, some blood may stay in the condom. The girl removes the condom. No blood transfers to her body if she removes it carefully.

Fair enough. I'm sure a pissed of rapist just might be able to fight through the pain for amount of time it takes to pull the trigger on a gun. Whats that take 1 second?

Obviously, there is the chance of transmission of STI's. But, its less a chance since a condom is being used.
