How to send fan mail

Does anyone know how to send fan mail to dmb?

In all my (short) years on DMB boards, I have never seen that question! Damn, I've got no clue!

i dont know if its still in effect, but i know about 6 years ago they didn't accept fan mail. this was during the whole anthrax scare time, but any mail they got would just go immediately in the trash. i haven't heard of anybody ever sending them mail since then though. maybe try emailing the warehouse

Check the website. I know you can send fan email to the band, but I don't know if it says anything about the regular mail.

I am a member of a different site that specializes in seeking autographs through the mail, and DMB is unfortunately lacking in this dept. They dont even do anything for charities

Yea apparently Boyd flies in middle of the night takes it and personally reads it to everyone in the band.

yeah im not sure what you mean by this....you make it sound like they wouldnt sign an autograph period but we all know how willing they are to do so....and up until the last few years dave would fly all the way from seattle to westchester, ny days before chiristmas every year to play an acoustic set for terminally ill kids at the hospital in my town...not to mention all the other benefits they obviously play

They do so much for charity from shows like the Beacon show to signing posters for charities. I can not fathom someone saying this. The band even has set up charities in C'ville, all by themselves. So I think they are charity minded.

As far as fan mail, the only way to get a hold of the band is through email. Links are on the Whorehouse board.

^ they do their own charities, yes. If you write them a letter asking for something signed for your charity, they decline. Sending an email is the worst way to contact them, none of them will ever see it. Write to red light management if you try anything. I can guarantee you wont get a response from a bandmember, but theres a 2% chance theyll see it

What about that one person who invited Dave to their wedding and he sent them a card? They posted it on here...I'm pretty sure. I'll try to find it. They must have known where to send it.

Wrong. You can't go to a charity event in Charlottesville that doesn't have a significant DMB donation, and that's just Charlottesville, and that doesn't even include all of Bama Works contributions. What a weird thing for you to say. I guess maybe you meant that they don't donate autographs to charities. That may be true, I don't know. Actually that's not true. I bought a package (for the tickets) once that included "something" signed by Dave. Turned out to be a poster.
