Bartender w/Tim or w/o
I'm talking about the actual song, all the way through Dave's wailing, not the elevator-like keyboard solo Butch used to have, because if that is included, no one in their right mind would prefer it that way. I've just noticed when I listen to Bartender it's almost always pre-08, other than Staples. Just seems like a different song with an electric guitar in it. Just my two cents, anyone else?

Without I dont like his additions to the song. The hay day for Bartender was post-Butch and pre-Tim.

I agree with you that it was best when neither was on it (ex. Folsom), but I'm confused about the bolded....

Bartender was best in 2000-2002, but I do like it with Tim. It's just...different.

Well once Bartender became a 15 - 20 minute snoozefest with Butch it became a bad live song. Not a real fan of the pennywhistle (I think Jeff's pretty damn good at it actually, but Roi wasn't...). With Tim on board Bartender grew back in the direction of it's form in the year 2000; a great song. I still prefer the 2000 versions though...
