I really can't stand them both. Bruce is way more annoying and korny though. He tries really hard to be cool and a lot of people fall for his front. Not I sir.

yeah his whole style..his singing, his songwriting, his terrible musicianship in general, his ownership of the northeast since sinatra died (namely jersey)...all this leads to a big pile of corny bullshit.

That being said, I do prefer Bob Seger to Bruce Sprinsteen.

Yeah Pete Seeger and his 70 year career are terrible. He is probably one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century and has influenced thousands of musicians including Dave.

Bruce hate is the funniest thing in the world, considering that he, at his best lyrically, competes with Dylan and Lennon. Not always, but he's got stellar songwriting skills. If Dave Matthews had even a quarter of the talent of Springsteen, this website would be much more popular.

Seriously, the day another song is written on the caliber of Incident on 57 St. or Kitty's Back, let me know. Unbelievable. Bruce and the E Street Band are some of the only folks I know that can write a 15 minute song with no wankish solos.

Didn't this guy make a poll praising the Police recently? I mean sure, they are a solid band, but they can't hold E-Street's jock. Incident on 57th Street is light years ahead of anything that has ever ran through Sting's mind.

I like Springsteen, when I don't have to actually see him playing the music. The whole tight jeans working man schtick is annoying. But in a vacuum..it's pretty good music.

Don't know much from Seeger.

Yea, I don't find it that annoying cause I just ignore it haha, but I can certainly see why this turns people off.

But for people to say his music sucks is just stupid, and ignorant of his music. Everything he put out in the 70s is on the same level or above any other legendary classic rock act you can name. I don't really like where he went when the 80s rolled around, but his early material is fucking flawless.
