Obviously we all want them to keep them playing...but imagine what kind of concert it would be if they took a break for a few years...

(and I'm talking about a 2 year min)

theyre too old imo. two years off wont make them sound better, thered just be the return tour where they sound like shit and are rusty and everyone hopes for next year i feel.

but idk maybe if they get to a point where they stop touring as much and this makes them more motivated to do amazing things in the studio than it wouldnt be the worst thing

I don't think they sound tired, thus I don't think they need a break. Did you see them on SNL tonight? They were smokin hot! SMLAM was sick! A 2 year break this late in their carrear would do nothing for them or their fanbase.

A break would never ever help the band put on a better show. They would not be as in sync, they would play less songs per tour and the shows would look more and more the same. Trust me, we have it good

I thought they sounded horrible on SNL. Well they didn't sound terrible just Dave. The damage is done his voice is fucked. I don't think a hiatus would do much at this point. (for his voice or anything in that matter. ) They really shouldn't have played so many shows this year it ruined his voice. The sad thing is I don't think it's coming back.

Gypsy has some sort of stigma to it I prefer voice vision seeker. That sounds catchy. It just seems that his voice has had little to no impovement over the past couple months. Who knows maybe it'll get better over the winter break. I was a little let down I really thought he was going to sound a lot better than some of his last performances I saw. Optimus Alive ( Whichever show was on Fuse where they play AATW) his voice was about unbearable it was byfar the worst AATW I've seen from him. Farm Aid it was still shot sometimes during the show better than other times. Does anyone know how his voice sounded on the cruise? It seemed like a general concensus that it was beat by the end of the tour and I didn't see much improvement. Did you?

I don't think it would be such a bad idea. If they all went their seperate ways for a while and did different things. Make solo albums, form/join another band, acting, living, whatever and then coming back would help mix things up. Just saying, I don't think its the worst thing that could happen. I think they could come back more inspired and make great music.

I thought his voice was a little off, but to say his voice is "fucked" and "it'll never come back again" is extreme. His voice sounded great this year and sure it struggled at times later in the tour, that is to be expected. It'll be back just like it always is, there is no reason to say it's dead and he'll never be able to sing again.

I just didn't see much impovement. Is it going to come back (if you think it's gone) I hope so but I don't think it's going to sound much better. I have no idea though and I agree the words and wording I used was a little over the top it wasn't THAT bad but I don't think it was good and I did think the band sounded great.
