Chances of Dave SOLO album 2010?

I read somewhere that Dave is under an agreement to produce a second solo album. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a time limit on this project? I really really liked Dave's first solo effort and am eager to know if there is a chance to see this done before the end of next year.

Possible. Way too early to tell. Then again, hell, maybe we would've known by now. Sometimes albums take a while to create. Only person who could answer this would be somebody who has inside info (for the moment until they bring it to the media).

yall think a dream so real, i won't give it away, and songs like that which seem a little more like solo efforts could end up being tracks on this record?

dave pretty much made some devil in the offseason in 2002 and the album was out the next spring in 03 so i don't think it'll take too long.

contracts usually do have a time limit, ie you must release this many albums in this many years. Not before, or it doesn't count, and not after, or you breached contract.

But leniency is often practiced with artists that are guaranteed to sell a relatively large amount. And a Dave solo record will sell a large amount, so as much as the label can push him, he still has somewhat of an upper hand in the argument if he's not ready to make the record.

im pretty sure there was an interview with dave (prior to big whiskey) where he said he would do it after 2 more dmb albums

I think the chemistry with the band is so good, they should work on another band record. There is always time for Dave to do a solo record. They should put another band album out around Christmas 2010, and Dave solo in summer/fall 2011.

Yeah I doubt we'll see a solo album anytime soon. Some Devil was made during a rough patch in the band's history. But now, their bond seem stronger than ever.
