Her and Dom have been by far the worst part of this season for me. Loving the Elliot/Mr Robot/Darlene story arch, especially with the last 20 minutes or so of last night's episode.

Because if she is pretty much just who she is at face value, holy moly has her character sucked this year. As others have mentioned, literally the worst poker face in the history of mankind, but also I'm tired of how spineless she is. No fucking way I would've let FBI agent Dom in my door when she knocked. There's a way to politely decline her entrance without itself seeming all weird and suspicious.v

plus I wanna take that stupid fucking hipster lollipop and shove it right down Dom's throat

holy shiiiiiiiiiit, that whole final sequence (going all the way back to Dom even trying to figure shit out in the ER waiting room) was so fucking intense. One of the smaller cooler details, the countdown clock on the cross-walk sign hit zero right before the Dark Army dude started firing his machine gun.
As far as that, I have no doubt that they got Cisco, that he's dead, but Darlene is of course still alive. and I was thinking as soon as Dom ran out into the street, if Darlene wouldn't be like frozen from the shock of the event, she could probably run out the diner's back door to evade being taken in.


But the whole concept of audio/sound/hearing was a major theme in this episode. A fresh "Tyrell" heavy breathing phone call, the static coming over the speaker in Joanna's house, her whisper up close to Elliot about telling her no, and the hit-you-over-the-head obvious posters hanging above Elliot and Angela's shoulders in the subway. It saying something about phase, and "audio for the discerning listener". As soon as she asked Elliot why he started fsociety, I was afraid this was just a trap to set Elliot up, that she had unfortunately gotten taken control by one of the authorities.

and a big theory I'm seeing now on Reddit is the idea that it's Scott Knowles who is making the phone calls to Joanna, to torment her. or, at the very least, the address Elliot came up with is Knowles' residence, and Tyrell has been there doing something.

Thought last episode was fantastic start to finish. Only gripe I have for this season is the complete removal of one of the most interesting characters on the show. We know he's not dead and I'm afraid the big reveal at the end of the season will be that he is alive.

You can't remember that one of the main characters was (or almost) assassinated? It was one of the best scenes in the entire series.

Here is something dark to think about, if Elliot is really running the Dark Army and all that stuff, then he likely could have been the one who ordered the execution of Cisco and Darlene, his sister. Obviously, Elliot himself didn't do it, but one of his alternate personalities might have ordered it. How messed up might that be?

man they just went full blown David Lynch with this episode, this was weird as shit. and the new theories have friggin EXPLODED over on Reddit.

some people think the last few scenes further prove that Elliot and Tyrell have always been the same person, I still fight against that. And I'm REALLY hoping it's not going to be the case.

although I also saw some people posit, we sorta went backwards in the timeline here without even realizing it (there were multiple blatant audio cues related to Back To The Future in this ep). But that basically once Elliot started following Mr Robot (presumably) during the "lucid dream", and him meeting up with Tyrell in the cab at night, that all of those scenes took place actually during the 3 day blackout that Elliot had at the end of s1. The time from right before the hack to when he then woke up in Tyrell's SUV.

HUGE that Scared Puppy Face went to the dark side with Dark Army. And I think Elliot killed Tyrell and "Tyrell" from the cab is a personality Elliot is creating. He sounded way different.
