#41 could be anywhere in the set and I would love it every damn time.

I think 41 works better early in a set. I will not lie, I went to grab a beer when it started, got back in time for the jam. That song just wasn't what the show needed at the point, that was the problem

Nope. 41 works for me anywhere. Didn't get it this year, and went to 6 shows. Bummed about that. Was glad to get LIOG at my last show for 2012.

I really want to like the Riff. But the ebbs and flows leave a lot to be desired in the chorus when the music seems to stop.

As soon as i hear the first notes of PM i know im in for two songs that under deliver.

I am begging for energy at these shows. Broken things is very raw and killed the energy from eh hee. The best shows i have been at haven't been the best sets, but the highest energy. I know what this band can do. I miss it.
Do you even like this band????

#41 is DMBs best song. Most potential to be themselves in it. It highlights all of their best qualities perfectly

Im just getting a little tired of the "standard" classics - Jimi, 41, LIOG, Two Step. They are great songs, but there should be an equal chance of hearing Dreaming Tree, Typical, Last Stop. It's 15-20 minutes of your show and it's predictable.

I disagree with him about Broken Things, it worked very well in the #2 spot. It didn't get the pop from the crowd that Belly Belly or Mercy did, but that's not the band's fault. The crowd will learn it in time

I completely feel the same way. At this point for me, there are times where I have to try and get into a song at a concert. PM->Satellite is the perfect example. The good part is that every show there are those spots in these moments where I get blown away by any one of the musicians on stage (other than Dave or Boyd, really) that keeps me impressed, curious, and perhaps, content with the stretch of adoration I've given this band in my life. Those personal mini-moments are key to why I keep going back.

I'm on the same wavelength with what I wish to see at a DMB show these days (though as my "fan-dom" has changed from ages 13-30, so did what I "care" about concerning live-DMB shows, though the reason I go stay the same. If anything it's habitual)

I've never been the type of fan to get a nosebleed about setlists. I couldn't tell you my favorite shows based on songs anymore, it's just about how it grooves me and how good of a time I have.

Raleigh was, honestly, a very tight performance. I enjoyed hearing all of the songs and each song in the set has its bright spots. Though:

    The Riff
    You and Me
    Belly Belly Nice
    Mercy
    If Only
    Seven

Is fucking tough for any fan, regardless of when you climbed aboard the bus, and just downright brutal for someone who doesn't know the songs. I debated taking Seven off this list because: it really was a beast last night and the girl I was with looooved it.

Without #41 we probably don't get Branford Marsalis and, as a bonus, the best WWYS I've ever seen. And, if not the best, surely top-3 #41 since 'Roi died..problem was placement. And just for me, the fact it's been played the last 3 shows I've attended doesn't matter to me if the song fits and rocks (though if I could choose I would have taken LIOG last night)

The, um excuse me, "teh energeez" songs were on point. Taking the perspective of a fan who wants to see this band knock the socks off newer fans more than himself, these songs were over-the-top. Grey Street, Jimi Thing, Ants, DDTW, esp.

DIDO was a nice little gift. And so was Christmas Song, though not unexpected.

I saw a taper there that night, but how can last night's C'ville be uploaded already but not the show from Wednesday? I need this. C'mon, son.

That was the most I've enjoyed a DDTW in quite some time. It's by far one of the best classics with the current lineup, I absolutely love what Tim has been doing (the shredding notes) at the very end of Don't Drink the last couple years
