Thoughts/Opinions on coated guitar strings - Antsmarching.org Forums

I have played with the D'Addario EXP16 strings for awhile but was recently talked into buying the regular uncoated d'addario strings. They seem to be ok but I have only had them on for a week now so I am curious to see how long they last.

Just wanted to see what other fellow musicians thought on the matter.

I use the elixir nanoweb strings since I got my Taylor in 2011. Long lasting, great sound and feel.

I have a set of uncoated strings on my #2 guitar and they just don't have the same feel, but believe they have a bit of a deeper tone to the, aside from the fact they're on a dread vs a GA.

I love my coated strings. I use the D'Addario EXP 12's and never have any complaints. Last a good amount of time and sound much brighter than other strings I've tried.
