if you stay in the center city area you will be fine after the show. Just take the subway to center city and grab a cab from there if you need to.

I switched up the hotel to Hampton Inn. Looks like it's walking distance from the City Hall stop on the line that runs from the venue.


Is that subway line pretty safe late night?

I think there is a Holiday Inn that is walking distance to the Fargo. We stayed there a few years back when PJ closed the Spectrum. Not the nicest hotel, but a bed to pass out on just the same.

Looking to go to this show. How hard to you think it's going to be to get a ticket? Holds less than Camden and it's only one date (plus tour closer). This could be a real hard ticket to get.

i live in CC Philly. the subway is safe even when it's practically empty, let alone after the show when it'll be full.

also, for the Hampton Inn at the Convention Center, get off at the Race/Vine stop, one stop north of city hall. it's even closer (unless you wanna go to a bar or something afterwards, in which case, get off at city hall or walnut).

i wouldn't say the subway in south philly, when there isn't an event, is safe.

i have no qualms about going from CC to say, xfinity live, on a non-event night. that of course implies that i'm not getting off at any stops in between.

i will say that north philly is 100% stay away though.

Just throwing this out there for fellow ants... $85 a night, has a shuttle that runs over to the venue- actually went to Chicky and Petes before. Stayed there in 2010, and for the price, couldnt complain. A place to lay your head. Got a cab relatively easy on Broad St after the show too and it was like $10 ride back (if that). Not sure if the shuttle runs after the show or not.

anyone who requested tickets notice that you can be stuck with $40 reserved seating? this is getting pretty ridiculous im probably just going to end up waiting for the general on sale date

Looked at that one but the reviews on TripAdvisor were abysmal. If it were just me, I probably wouldn't care as much but ill be traveling with 3 girls.

Don't think you'll have any trouble. Should be tickets left even after a few weeks. Draw isn't what it was for Philly arena shows in 98, 2000 or 02. Pretty sure you could get tickets right up to the day of show in 10. Can't remember exactly though.

Looking at the rest of the charts, it appears that over half of the shows include limited rear/side view seats being sold at the highest levels. Ridiculous.

Not for Philly you can't -- $85 and $75. That's it for that venue. There are only a couple shows with $40 reserved (Boston and Louisville, I think)

There are plenty of people who won't look at the seating charts, or won't realize these seats are rear/side when they do.

I can say with 100% certainty that Sections 116 and 122 are rear/limited view, while 115 and 123 are side/limited view depending on your row and/or seat number, and they're all being sold at the top price level.

You can get a $40 in Philly. I started the process, and when i selected the GA 85s, the next page showed my 1st choice as GA, then 85, 75, and 40 reserved. I sent a note asking the WH where those seats were cause it wasnt on the seating chart.

PS - B Dawk still looks like he could rip someone's face off

No, you can't get $40 for Philly -- that list was just an example that comes up for every single show. There is no $40 ticket in Philly. Look at the seating chart.

And Dawkins will be the man forever. He said he could play this year if he wanted to but decided to go out before he had to.

Just made the request for GA seats. Loved the last show they played here, and can only expect more being the last show of the tour!
