    Kings dumpster fire not surprising

From an oncourt perspective this is mind blowing. Forget Bynum/Pau, this is a Robinson/Duncan level frontcourt

How do you trade Cousins and not get a guarantee top 3 pick? Awful trade.

He's the best center in the game, a top 10 player, top 15 hands down. If you're not getting multiple first round picks and/or a star in return you're an idiot. I guess that accurately describes Vlade.

I don't think Cousins is as coveted around the league as we think. Lots of teams don't want to deal with his bullshit.

It was a bad deal but I don't blame the Kings for not wanting to pay him 200 million.

Don't forget.. Sixers get to swap picks with the Kings this year and they get an unprotected first round pick from them in 2019.

    Kings should hire Hinkie.

Seems like the Kings did their due diligence and this was the market for him.

Pellies are still a longing way from being anything of consequence.

Every person in this thread knows the NBA far more than I do so I'm more just asking .. didn't he acquire assets and use it to win in 2008, then acquire assets again and now has the #2 team in the east and draft picks to play with?

Kind of. The Kevin Garnett trade was terrible and he didn't give up what I would call assets other than Al Jefferson and two first round picks. That was a rape scene at the time. The Ray Allen trade wasn't a build up of assets either. Basically was centered around Jeff Green who they drafted with their own pick.

I think the issue is he has been stockpiling first round draft picks and has either drafted busts or never capitalized on the guys he drafted because they turned out to be nothing more than mediocre. So rather than centerpieces, they became fillers. Celtics are fine right now, but I think everyone knows once the postseason comes they stand no chance against Cleveland and probably wouldn't make it past Toronto.

From what I saw, the kings wanted Ingram. Lakers refused.

If I'm NOLA I'm probably shopping AD today to see if I can find an all star wing to pair and some other pieces to pair with Boogie.

No you wait until this offseason. You see how this works against golden state.

Interesting, there is so much talk around here about the Celtics potentially making moves, I guess we'll see what happens this week if anything

Kings actually win. If they knew they didn't want to sign him then why keep him? Let Buddy get 30-35 minutes his numbers will drastically go up and you bring Evans back home with more minutes. Plus two picks I don't understand what the fuss is about? The Pelicans will not be able to keep Boogie after seasons end anyway. the draft class is deep this year anyway

From what I've heard Butler would improve the team but wouldn't put them over the top and all chips would be gone, not sure if that makes sense. It seems to me like they should trade Thomas as he is a little guy who's value will never be higher.

They aren't trading Thomas. He'll get a max deal after next year. Probably in Boston
