Of course it is. Good times await, my friend. We'll see when dates come out how it stacks up to my other vacations this year.

Not sure how many remember this, Alpine Valley 8.7.04 has David Bowie's Golden Years interpolation in the Too Much outro. Such a great show.

We may do the Baymont in Waukesha again. It's only 75$ a night.

To the venue it was only about 30 minutes. But the room was super nice, we really enjoyed it.

Doesn't Alpine only have 5 or 6 acts a summer anyway?

Over SPAC that weekend? That seems like a bad decision.

The last few years it's been 3ish. The rumor that they'll get 5 has me excited.

Alpine is a whole different monster from other venues.

In that it's too big for itself and may prove to be unsustainable?

I missed it for the first time in a long time. Had to take the hike out to SPAC and couldn't swing both. This year I can't pick though...both need to happen!

Sure, but it's a different time for live music now. Back then it was an extremely unique place to see a show. Today there are dozens of sheds just like it, albeit smaller.

Bands have not done overly well in general at Alpine over the last couple years. I think it's best chance for a future is to implement camping (which it is, supposedly) and host a couple larger festival type events a year to counteract half-full houses when single headliners play there.

Alpine resort is really the only one in walking distance, and you probably need to book it now with the rumored date to get it. I think a couple of campgrounds have shuttles.

I have done the super 8 in delavan a few times which is about 15 minutes away. I also have the Hampton inn in Elkhorn booked for this year which is pretty close.

Just booked at the resort. Got a good feeling it is a concert weekend, but she wouldn't budge and confirm anything.

What is the rate on your email confirmation? Mine said regular 109 and I think flutterby had concert rate in the 200's.

Mine says 109 as well, but she kind of hinted that it would change to a higher rate.
