Proudest Monkey: to me it is studio perfection and is one of the finest endings to any album ever.

All 3 are top notch. #34 is the best closing song (and Spoon is a close followup) but I voted Last Stop reprise because it's such a good way to end. #34 is actually a tie imo. Bartender is the favorite across all albums, with Drunken Soldier just as high as any of the big 3.

I'll do a super serious list.

    1. You & Me/#35, obviously.
    2. BS Bartender
    3. Spoon/Last Stop Reprise
    4. Everyday
    5. Drunken Soldier
    6. #34
    7. Proudest Monkey
    8. Hunger for the Great Light. (I like the song and all, but why didn't Steady as We Go close the album out? It would have been fitting and good.)
    9. LWS Raven, garbage.

I love Big Whiskey, but i do not love You & Me. I never even listen to it unless I'm doing a full listen of the album.

What trolling? All of those artists are great, and all have a song that makes me smile and also a song that makes me cry. Men at Work especially, those tricky Aussies.

Objectively PM and LS reprise should be neck and neck with PM probably winning.

Proudest Monkey may be the strongest studio song this band has recorded.

    Nothing describes my love for this band more than;

"Come in from the noise for a while,
Rest your weary head my good friend."

    Perfection.

I actually agree with this. Where do you think Hunger should have been on the album?

I love the long outro that ends AFTW. It's right up there with the Last Stop Reprise in my book.

See, I always wished that there was a lot more to DS. It feels massively incomplete to me.

I have felt this for years but I've been on a huge Dreaming Tree kick lately and that might actually be their seminal studio track...there's just so much going on. So well arranged and the Chapman Stick is just unreal. And the flute! With the sax playing rhythm in the background? My goodness

I like the way Hunger ends on the album, feels like an album closer. ED is a vanilla studio cut, and I don't like the outro to DS.

But the best thing the band has ever done in the studio is The Dreaming Tree.
