I don't think Ohio State would be favored (I think ND would be about a 2 point fav) by 2 touchdowns, just what the outcome would be. ND wouldn't be handle the Big 10 speed.

I can't agree with that. I think tOSU has under-performed given their schedule and ND has over-performed. Think ND would be favored, but the game could go either way probably plus/minus 4.

Honestly you can say the same for any B12, P12, or...dare I say...SEC team...

tOSU hasn't played shit, but we also dont know how good the P12, B12, and (quite frankly) the SEC is now either. They are all beating up on each other, but what does that really mean?

EDIT: It's a little odd that a ND fan would make fun of Penn State's troubles, considering the head coach of ND was so incompetent that his decisions caused a student manager to die, and that ND's covering up of an alleged sexual assault by one of its players motivated a girl to kill herself.
    Damn, shots fucking fired^

    Lee has a point...

I think ND would be probably be -2 on a neutral field. tOSU could definitely win though. If they beat MSU and win the conference championship game convincingly, they're in.

I have a hard time seeing Ohio State get in over ND if both win out. But I guess it depends on what ND' s opponents do from here on out. ND's loss is obviously better, but if USC and Arizona State shit the bed then Ohio State's win over MSU would be better than anything ND accomplished. I think the committee did say something about acknowledging injuries and the role they play in potential losses, so they may get some leniency on VA Tech.

I don't know if the Big 10 speed comment was a joke (it had to be, right?) but this is the fastest ND team in YEARS. ND could very well lose in a matchup against OSU, but I would be shocked if they were blown out.

Big 10 speed comment definitely a joke. Ohio State has some speed though. Even if Ohio State wins out, I'm not going to automatically complain (it depends who got in before them) since that V Tech loss was so bad.

OSU is the only team in the B1G with speed. And they've got as much as anyone in the country.

ND would get picked over OSU if both win out. They should, at least.

Damn this says a lot about your credibility going forward when discussing college football. You don't even try to lie like most people and say you've seen the teams play and can offer even the slightest bit of analysis.

Nah. ND would have better wins and presumably the committee would regard FSU as one of the top 4 teams in the country. No way they could, with a straight face, defend any notion that a one-loss ND isn't also one of the top 4 teams, especially if OSU is the comparison.

Would be an exciting game. But the way Clemson is recruiting they may be much better by then. They're always so close to greatness but always pull a Clemson (I hate the word Clemsoning).

But they are loading up in recruiting and so is South Carolina. CU/USC is going to be much more competitive the next few years.

It's going to be hilarious when Auburn beats Georgia and Mizzou (loser to Indiana) backs into the SECCG again. Their SEC schedule has been VERY generous the last two seasons.

Hope you're right, but for the psyche of the Mizzou players I hope they don't make the SECCG.

Because they will think they are hot shit after making it two years in a row? Or because they would get absolutely owned by any team they play in the West in the championship game?

now that people finally are done drooling over LSU, Auburn might be the most overrated team in the country. Of course Georgia without Gurley could lose to anyone.

I think they would get owned. Nothing personal I just think Mizzou this year is weaker. They were really good last year and definitely deserved to be there. This year was just a drop off. But anything can happen.

Auburn's been sort of a mystery to me. I've probably watched them 3 times, and my impressions have ranged from extremely overrated to "they look like one of the best teams in the country." Their relative sloppiness against K-State looks a lot better now that K-State is looking pretty legit.

Agree 100%. It would be a shame if Mizzou made it to the CG over Georgia purely because of an easy schedule. They really aren't that good this year. Their defense has still been impressive for everyone they lost, but their offense is just a different level of bad. If they make the title game they are likely going to get rocked by whoever they play.

UGA auburn game is gonna be the game. I am on the fence on how UGA will play and even if they make it to the auburn game without losing to uf and uk. I don't think they are a playoff contender with the way they have played this year. Mason is nOt a great qb and you can only go so far with gurley and Chubb.

Auburn's been sort of a mystery to me. I've probably watched them 3 times, and my impressions have ranged from extremely overrated to "they look like one of the best teams in the country." Their relative sloppiness against K-State looks a lot better now that K-State is looking pretty legit.
K-State was the first road game of the year and there were certainly jitters and a couple dropped passes could have made the score better but their defense held and that's the most important to me. I don't care about scoring 40 points a game I want the defense to play better and it did.

Spotting MSU 2 touchdowns and only losing by two touchdowns was good and bad. Bad as in the fact that they should have scored more in the red zone but it also shows that defense did hold and it wasn't a blowout (or as much a blowout) Dawgs had 4 turnovers too. I do think MSU is good but on a neutral field they are not 15 points better. I would love to play MSU again.

Their defense has still been impressive for everyone they lost, but their offense is just a different level of bad. If they make the title game they are likely going to get rocked by whoever they play.
Georgia would put up the best fight I agree. Only way I see Mizzou backing in is if UGA loses to UF and Auburn or Kentucky and that ain't happening.

If Mizzou wins out then all Georgia has to do is lose 1 game. All Mizzou has left is Vandy, Kentucky, A&M, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Certainly not 100% that Mizzou will win out, but that's not necessarily a daunting slate.
