Falling Rock is about a block away from Coors Field. Service sucks but the selection is unrivaled around town aside from Yard House....though Falling Rock has much better beer.

We moved from The Meadows to Parker about 5 years ago, I really liked it down there

Freshcraft is a restaurant with solid food and a good taplist. It's what I wish Falling Rock would be. Not nearly as many beers but just as high quality with better food and service.

You gents been to Probst, yet? Former Brew Master of Dry Dock is their Head Brew Master. I have a friend from here that is addicted. For the locals, I am right now hooked on Orabelle (GD). I have heard great things about Funkwerks, but my store has yet to carry them. I want to try their Saison.
Anyone here going to Furthur over the weekend? I have yet to snag a ticket. But I have a pass to go, if I want to cash it in.
I was also invited to watch UFC at a co-workers, but have no interest in watch Rousey.

Prost makes great authentic German beer. The literally brought in a brewery from Germany to ensure the styles would be authentic. If you're into German beer it's a must stop. Their growlers are popping up at liquor stores around town. Dry Dock is awesome as well

    Funkwerks makes good saisons

The real gem locally is Crooked Stave if you're into sours or bretts

    You shop at Bubbles?

It looks like they are bypassing Castle Rock for right now for whatever reason: http://www.funkwerks.com/content/Loc...Locations.aspx

Lukas Liquors in Park Meadows (Lonetree) usually has all of them if you're ever in the area. They carry Crooked Stave too.

I have not been to prost yet but it is on my list to check out. I did not know it is the head brewmaster, or was head brewmaster, of dry dock. Dry dock has some great brews also.

I think freshcraft just came up on my radar to check out this weekend. Just looked at their website, any place that carries odells myrcenary on tap is worth checking out.

Yep. I shop Bubbles. Funkwerks hasn't been there since I started going. I'll have to make a trek to Lukas.

They have rotating taps but keep a realtime selection on taplister:

Taplister also has an iphone app which is handy.

Bubbles is a good store, really convenient for The Meadows too! Hopefully they get Funkwerks for you soon. They've got some gems that sit on the shelves for a while down there too!

EDIT: I didn't realize we had so many Denver-area beer fans on Ants! This is great! Anyone make the annual trek to GABF?

in other news, im talking to dicks sporting goods about getting a suite. i almost did it for the united center show this past december. it was $200 per person and included food and drink. im really curious what the pricing will be for dicks sporting goods. its gotta be cheaper than the united center.

i went to GABF in 2003 and 2005 and then again this past year. it definitely has exploded since i first went. huge crowds and you really gotta go on thursday or friday to get the good stuff before it runs out, and even then try to hit up all the big breweries in the first hour or so before lines get out of control.
i went to the denver winter brew fest last month and that was good. i got tickets for the summer brew fest as well. http://www.denverbrewfest.com/summer/index.html

I've only been to the Brewer's Association/American Homebrewers Association session since they started 3 years ago, which is Saturday at Noon. They sell less tickets for that session so that's nice, but you're right some of the beers are already gone (like Three Floyds Zombie Dust ) by the time the session opens so I guess it's give an take. I want to try and do the Thursday night session in addition this year if I can get tickets, crazy how fast they went last year!

How are those festivals at Mile High Station? Less crowded? I couldn't make winter brew fest as I was planning this year but have heard good things.

If you have the opportunity to try Avery's Tweak (formerly Meph Addict/Coffeestopheles) jump on it. It's essentially Mephistopheles with coffee...it's amazing.

    Mephistopheles itself is awesome. I'm doing a vertical with a couple of friends here in a few weeks. We're cracking a 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012

i got the vip ticket for the winter one, which gets you in a hour early which was definitely worth it. got a ton done in that hour. its much much smaller than GABF which was great from a crowd standpoint. discovered two new breweries.

elevation brewery out of poncha springs. they have a barrel aged imperial stout barrel aged called oilman that is just great. they had several other great beers. i was happy to see they are bottling their stuff as well.

fate brewery in boulder was also another new brewery that was there. they are where jose muldoons used to be, they also have some great stuff.

All this talk of beer, I am going to have to grab a six pack of Dry Dock IPA for tonight. It will be perfect with this white stuff that is coming down. Don't know what it is never seen this white stuff in Colorado before, and it's cold outside. What gives?

I like this idea A LOT, I live in Denver off of Colorado and Cherry Creek. Can't wait to see the boys here, just moved here last summer from KY and very excited to see them in CO. Anyone trying to do the UT or NV shows? My friend and I will be doing those two with the gorge in between.. Lets make this the best thread on Ants! CO LoVE
