My local store just posted this picture of all the copies they received and WOW! makes me mad I won't be able to make it till about 1-2 in the afternoon...

Yea in Madison... they had 5 copies of LT1 also when it was released

Wow! Thats crazy. I'd say you're safe to get one that early in the afternoon. Especially if they enforce a purchase limit.

My local store didn't get LT4, not a single copy went to Arkansas.

But it's cool, that one store above got like 30 copies. Ridiculous.

For RSDBF there was a gas station across the street from the store I was visiting, but it didn't open until 6 am. I was out there at 3:30 am. Needless to say I peed on the store. They sold LT 2 for $150. I feel no guilt now.

I've been thinking about what I"m gonna do if I gotta drop a deuce at 4 in the morning and no one else is out there. I'm not losing my spot for poop.

Funny little story: I was unaware of all the hype surrounding these LT vinyl releases until I received a turntable for my birthday this March. When I found out about last year's LT 1 release on RSD I was super bummed that I had no chance of getting it without paying a lot to have one. Then a miracle happened. A few of my friends have been collecting records for a while, and a last month one of them just nonchalantly notifies me that they'd scored the one and only copy from our town's RSD (pretty sure the only one sold in MS). She's nowhere near as big a fan as I am, but she is aware of its value. I expressed my excitement that I was so glad one of my good friends had a copy. She decided I'd get more happiness out of it than her, so it's currently at my house indefinitely (No. 275 to be exact)

Also, not missing out this year. Our local store will have two copies of LT 4. I'll be camping out in the early morning hours with a friend and hope we'll be first in line to get both.

Not much I can do. I asked around and have some people watching out for an extra copy for me, but in the event that doesn't happen I'll have to resort to eBay flippers. It's a shame.

No way!! I was at the Oxford store! The girl that bought it got there like an hour before me. It was the only reason I went. I begged her the entire time we were in line to let me have it because I was a bigger fan. She never conceded. I checked out after her and told her to enjoy it. I'm a little bummed right now. Happy you get to enjoy it though.

And i'll be seeing you out there. I'm not gunning for the LT though so you're good. We need to speak at some point tomorrow morning.

Every time The Kansas City area gets screwed. I have had tried to get the other 3 and both times the three record stores that participate do not get any DMB. This year is the same all three stores did not get it in. If anyone is able to snag an extra one I would love it as I want to avoid ebay at all costs again.

Luckily with 2,000 it shouldn't be hard to get on eBay. Wait a couple of weeks and you'll pay around 100-120 for it, which I can deal with. May have to resort to this as well since DC/Northern VA is horrible at getting these DMB releases.

I'm a completist. But as you said, with 2,000 available, it shouldn't be hard to score one for 100-120 on eBay if someone can't find an extra.
