I do both but not simultaneously. Usually oil in the morning then balm around 4-5 PM.

Here's the halfway update. Not quite curling over yet but still solid growth in the past two weeks. Honestly looking a little fuller than I had anticipated, hope cry_minarets isn't shaking in his boots too too badly just yet.

I didn't shave my neck beard this morning. It's not bad, but it will certainly retract from my photo. 5:30PM will be my post. Look for it. Live a normal life while you can, Steng, because you're going to get very sad come 5:30PM

I completely forgot about this thread last night, but here's my day 30 update. I'll leave the vote to the masses. I will note that as it grows my beard curls up which negatively impacts the length, not to make excuses or anything but it's sort of a valid excuse if we're being totally honest.

For the first time in my life, it looks like I may be able to grow a beard. Long story short, work place wouldn't allow beards. They hire a guy with a beard about 3 to 4 weeks ago. He was told he didn't have to shave it, but to keep it neat. A co-worker went on vacation three weeks ago and came back with a beard. I've been on vacation for two weeks and haven't shaved, but have trimmed just a bit to keep everything even. It's not a great beard, some spots are thin and patchy, but the chin is thick, and robust. Will the thin areas fill out (cheek area)? How do I stop the itchy? Just looking for advice to have a semi epic beard. Don't fail me ants!

I work for a grocery store. I guess our owners were afraid of beards getting to scraggly or unkempt. I guess since beards are becoming a new fad, they'll allow us to have them, as long as we keep them neat.
