Boom. Career spanning.
Just to be an ass, I checked the Almanac to see how many shows have featured all five of those songs, and only two full band shows since 2010 have. 12/21/12 and 11/30/13. I know you were just being an ass, too, but you know damn well they play songs from throughout their career every single night.

Anyone think the "2 sets" is going to be similar to the Dave & Friends set from their winter 03 tour?

LOVE the two set format! Finally, my god.

    It works perfectly with Phish.

Pumped about the way they're mixing this tour up. At the very least it's something different, and possibly at the best, we can get some of the older songs sounding the way they're supposed to (Warehouse in particular comes to mind). It sounds like it'll be some D & T, some full band like it is now, some probably without Tim, etc. Cool idea.

Where do you think they got the language for that? Creative journalism? Investigative reporting? Or copying the language they were handed by the bands management?

No way are they playing two (almost) full shows.

    6-8 songs
--set break of 15-20 min --
    8-10 songs

    is more likely imo.

    two things:
1-very disappointed in no NYC area date. closest thing is a i guess Homdel or Camden. maybe that means a long awaited return to MSG for the fall/winter tour?
2-don't know how i feel about electric/acoustic thing. i worry about what kind of sets they would put out. here's a combo of the jazz festival and the dave and tim from 2013 farm aid combo. if this is the kinda thing we would expect, then it might be hard for me to justify doing two shows this summer. but until we get a better idea or see a few set list, it's all pretty much gonna be speculation.

I was just thinking if there was no opener, thats just 7 or so songs than normal. An the acoustic versions are typically shorter.

No doubt about acoustic generally running shorter. Also agree about no opener, but DM(B) will likely just hit the stage 15min earlier than they normally do (again, I think...)

Rather than the opener playing from 7:30-8:00 then DMB coming out at 8:30, the ticket will likely point to an 800pm start time, with music actually starting around 8:15-8:20. Play until 9:15, break until 9:30/9:40 and then come back out for another hour plus encore.

That's what I immediately thought. Not that it matters... no shows anywhere near the Rockies. At least I can save myself $80 per bad seat again

i just copied and pasted both set lists but it could very well happen to change it up if the band wants to.

In my head, that's how it works.

I could also see them doing something like Phish or Pearl Jam where the two sets are about equal in length and they just mix everything up on the fly.

i think we're reading too much into the Acoustic / Electric thing. I think by acoustic they mean Dave & Time or Dave solo and by Electric they mean Full Band.

Who knows though - I'm excited for the prospects...
