And how do you feel about this? Still no regrets or anything related to her?

It means she won't text me and bug me about it

No regrets at all. I'm only bummed because I was the one who wanted to be civil and still be friendly. I tried giving her as much advice as possible to help her realize that Rome wasn't built in a day as far as relationships go.

I know it sounds crazy, because who wants to take advice from someone you were interested in when they've clearly moved on? But you know what? I've been in that same position, and at the time I didn't want to hear it either. But as I let it sink in that I was wrong, or that I had some correctable flaws, I worked on making myself a better person and I don't feel bitter towards those who rejected me.

I lied, apparently she didn't unfriend me because she just liked the status FB is so weird.

Went out for a work birthday lunch on Friday. Server was super hot. The team paid for my lunch, which was very nice of them. They told the hot server it was my birthday and I invited her to my event that night. We exchanged information. As the bill came though, the guy that paid via credit (everyone else gave cash) paid with a really shitty tip. The bill was 80 dollars or so. He gave 5. One of the guys in the office noticed this and told me later that day. I felt bad, gave her a ring and we're now going out on a date on Tuesday so I can make it up to her.

Went from her being pissed at the shitty tip my table left to going on a date. Winner! Gagnon!

And 1 went really well (whom I've seen 3 times, we text a bunch, and will be hanging out tomorrow).

I'm just worried about jumping into anything with the 1 that it is going really well with since I'm barely over a month out of my last relationship. i've never been a casual dater. Any advice? I figure I'm going to keep seeing the girl I like (but try to keep it semi-casual) but also go on dates with different girls.
    Update on this:

Had a day date with the girl that it went really well with on Saturday. Which turned into a night date. Which turned into sleeping over.

Sunday I went home and did some errands and what not and then hung out with her again.

I really enjoy spending time with her but I don't know if I want to jump into a relationship again.

Luckily I am going on vacation at the end of this week through Wednesday and then I am in St. Louis for three days next week. That'll pump the breaks on everything a little bit.

    Re: Dating is miserable

I have a friend. she works admin in my office. We have slept together once (like a month ago) or so ago, but we're primarily friends first, I went away to a cottage weekend with her and all of her friends two weekends ago. We had a wonderful time - I however met this wonderfully pretty woman at the cottage that weekend. We made jokes and casually flirted all weekend, I didn't think anything of it.

She comes to my birthday on Friday and looks like an absolute stunner. Prettiest woman of the evening in a room full of pretty women. I couldn't believe it. So we continue to make casual jokes and flirt. Every guy in the place is trying to get with her.

I had friends come in from Montreal for the weekend, so on Saturday we all went out for dinner. She messaged me to tell me she had fun and I ask her to come along - she agrees and again, looks great. So we all have dinner and have a great time but at the end of the night she has to catch the metro to go to where she is staying (she lives outside of the city at moment) and I walk her to the metro. When we get there and say goodbye, she's kind of lingering instead of heading to catch the train. I catch the hint and lean in for a kiss and we stay there for an extra minute or two making it happen.

Now here is my issue. She is girlfriend material. I have slept with her friend and met her only because of her friend.

My only play to make this work is talk to the friend and hope that she is cool with us not sleeping together again and then pray by some extension she is cool with me dating her friend and being around her social circle while dating her friend.

We are supposed to have dinner tomorrow. Do I talk to her before or after dinner?

got pulled back into something again for the past 3 weeks. I'm sick of wearing my heart on my sleeve. I wish I knew how to fix it. pretty shaken and torn up as always.

4 more weeks to go in my grad program, then I won't see this chick for 7 weeks. then i'll see her in a cycle of 2 days for every 5 weeks due to call backs. I really think the only cure for me will be finishing up these 4 weeks and starting the next phase of school, which will coincide with not seeing her for weeks at a time.

I think the obvious solution is to talk to the original friend and say something like "I don't know the exact pronunciation, but I believe it's menage a trois?"

*say "menage a troy" if feeling extra confident

If she gets pissed about it, I'd guess she'd be way more pissed if you waited until after to tell her.

No. That's the pharmacist. I still haven't pulled the plug on that. She's a sweet heart and really means well. Despite how I feel, she would be the best decision for me. She would treat me well and would spend every day trying to make me happy. She has a good job and comes from a good family. I just don't feel things like I want to with her.
