My word of advice is people need to recheck there expectations and spread out there shows.. Cause we all know the band likes to change up song selections from beginning of the tour to end. Besides a few songs here and there I would change, looks like a great setlist to me from last night.

Look, WTWE is a terrible opener, especially when it's leaned up against stay or leave second. Had it been WTWE then LIOG, I'd appreciate the opener a lot more. Much like I'd appreciate squirm when coupled with seek up rather than spaceman or something. Regardless, I've been told 8 this year so far and Holmdel and Bristow were both worse than last night for me. Like I said before, i hate die trying as an encore song (or anywhere anymore) but the band's performance was sharp last night, energy was good and there was some variations. No kill the preacher intro for why I am, no Louie Louie tag on warehouse, opening with 4 shorter songs, all things SLIGHTLY different about last night's from others I've seen this tour. The show was kind of like a nice sandwich with subpar bread around it.

A few notes from last night:

The Song that Jane Likes - always happy to see this one, especially with the animation playing on the screens.

Grey Street - enjoyed seeing this mid-set, very nice change from seeing it most often in a power slot

Samurai Cop - this song has gotten much tighter since May. They made the bridge a lot better.

The Last Stop - thank you so much, DMB

Say Goodbye - Carter isn't human.

In the lots last night there was at least 20 people selling lawns for N1

Tape from last night is up on dreamingtree. I thought the show started a little wonky, with 4 short ones in a row, followed by Death on the High Seas, which I liked better than last year but am still not a fan of, but the pace definitely picked up after that, and the songs started stretching to appropriate lengths. Last Stop was the clear highlight: the tightest, punchiest version I've ever heard, sounding very much like winter '98 (minus Bela Fleck): Tim's dropped that high-pitched riff that he had been doing in 2010, and the song just crushed it. Encore left a lot to be desired--a third song really would have helped--but they were pushing it with the Friday curfew. I haven't followed the tour at all, so everything was a nice surprise to me, one way or the other. Nothing I heard really disappointed me, and the crowd was great--seriously, I saw no one acting like an asshole the entire night, just 19,000 people having a beautiful evening.
