Re: New York Giants
Now that I'm a little more calm, some thoughts from last night...
Even though clock management was HORRIFIC, which we all know, I'm much more frustrated with this pass rush. ONE SACK last night during that final drive ends the goddamn game. They couldn't get any pressure on Romo all day. Sure, you can put some of it on playing the best OLine in the game, but I honestly don't think that makes much of a difference.
Another huge frustration for me was all of the freaking drops by the WRs, particularly Parker's 3 drops on third down passes. That just can't happen to a professional.
The OLine actually played pretty well all things considered...they only gave up one sack and Flowers got his ankle rolled up on pretty good. The run game looked pretty decent in general even though Vereen didn't do anything terrible impressive.
On a few positive notes, the OLine looked pretty good all things considered, especially when Flowers got his ankle rolled up on and was hobbled throughout the rest of the game. I also thought the secondary looked great...those last two drives were basically all on the LBers unable to cover backs and TEs.
God, what a backbreaking loss. I expected the Giants to get blown out... but because of their defense. Overall, the O looked pretty plain/unimpressive.
