That isn't making a whole lot of sense to me, wouldn't ESPN or another major sports media organization be the most likely to limit his biases? If he left to do his own thing, he'd only have to answer to himself and could be as biased as he wanted to be.

As someone whose dog recently died, this one hit me hard. Codey went in such a similar fashion only a few years older. I'm actually crying right now as I type this. Losing a dog is one of the hardest things you can ever do.

Yeah it's definitely a weird thing to think about..

Is yours very well-behaved? Mine is going on 4 years old and is still rather hostile to anyone who enters the house that doesn't live there and it makes it really difficult to have people at my house because of the hassle involved with calming him down etc.

Any insight on this? I love the little guy I just wish he would be kinder to my friends.

Mine actually just turned 4 in December.

He is pretty hostile to people he doesnt know. Like, he'll freak out when a delivery man comes to the door, or when dogs walk on our lawn, etc.

But if he's seen you before, he recognizes you and is more "welcoming" every other time he sees you. So I guess my advice would be to have them over, and after a few times he'll probably calm down around them.

when i read Simmons' categorization of Kobe's reaction, I assumed he gleaned it from a press conference or interview; thats how it reads, at least for someone who previously knew nothing more than Bynum was hurt. Is that definitively not the case?

his reaction is "fuck, not again" and it's a valid reaction, nothing wrong with it. players get injured all the time. this isn't one of those head injuries where a guy might be paralyzed, this is a knee injury. there's no reason to be genuinely concerned about the guys health as a serious issue. his focus was on how it's going to affect the team. most players would be.

i'm assuming he thinks lebron would be holding bynum's hand or something

But that's what his argument was, that Kobe was more pissed that he was injured again (hindering their Championship potential) rather than concern for Bynum. For example later in one of those clips, you see Odom next to Bynum talking to him and stuff. Kobe's just frustrated.
