They really do. You might think you don't need to hear another version of Two Step, but download the 06.05.05 Burgettstown version. It's completely unique, there has never been another one like it. Around the 12:56 mark or so Dave starts playing this riff on his guitar and then he starts singing vocals on top of it in a manner not unlike Sting.

It would not be out of place in anyone's top 5 Two Steps of all time. It's in mine.

How about the next studio album? I know it's been less than 2 years but I am DYING for news of the new record after how much AFTW disappointed me. I'd make a topic about it but I can't make topics anymore. And I just don't know how to change that. Hopefully someone will see this post and know what I can do.

Last update was that studio work has slowed down, so we probably won't see it until next year.

Just to add to the Burgettstown release train, I'm throwing this one out there from '04. I know the Hershey GGT gets all the hype and love, but this one is fantastic, also a pretty good fool to think. Just an all around good show. Check out Eric Naylors tape from this show, sounds amazing!

Since it is essentially impossible to get two people to reach an impasse on what should or should not be released as the next Live Trax (and on this site, it is unlikely that two or more people will agree that today is Sunday or that cows are real), I have always been surprised that 1995.05.10 (Yoshi's) has never been released, especially if one considered that Warfield could be paired with the release as well (a 3D set centered on the same date, but variant locations).

Though a fair amount of the band's fans may not regard the Yoshi show as DMB's best show, few would push the idea that the performance is not one of the band's better shows in generality.

Personally, I think it would be intriguing if the band were to release the show(s) on the 20th anniversary of the performance; a nice kickoff for next summer's "potential" tour.

And I obviously concede that a fair portion of the band's fans already possess the show by way of taper/download.

In my opinion, and more importantly, since I went to both of these shows, I think either performance would be wonderful as an official release. More importantly, and as was mentioned earlier, it is odd that a Deer Creek show has never been released; however, my opinion is skewed since I have seen more Deer Creek shows in general than any other venue. Deer Creek is not the Gorge, SPAC, Red Rocks, Hollywood Bowl, et al., but it is a wonderful place to see a show, and the band has done some great things surrounded by the corn and the shopping mall.

Both Alpine shows from 2012...I know it's been mentioned several times, but seriously, I get chills everytime I look at these sets on paper. To anyone that was there, were the performances as good? Both of these shows need a release soon.

Both nights were incredible. I honestly debate with myself about future DMB shows because I'm convinced I won't see 2 nights better than those, ever. Just kept getting better and better.
