In the bar/lounge area at Dallas before the show, (used to be Heineken themed but I didn't see that anymore but if you've been there you know what I mean), a table of bros at the table next to us:

Flatbill Hat Bro: "Dude, did you see the setlist last night? They played this "Minarets" song I'd never heard before"
Headband Bro: "Bro, they're due a new album soon so it's about time they broke out some new material!"

In our seats, my wife was sitting to my left. The guy next to her (drunken bro wearing a XS shirt that should be a L) kept elbowing her in the face. I had to switch seats with her because he was getting out of control.

does not apply to this tour, but back in '07 when Dave would play #27, he would say it's a little bit old and a little bit new and this guy in the row in front of us had said during the intro "Oh dude, this is it man, this is it! it's like I'm back at trax man! yes! yes Dave! I love you man! whoooo! bring it back to the old days baby!"... I just looked at my friend and shook my head.

He was behind us constantly yelling about the instrumentation. When Fonz comes out with the stand up bass he went crazy, but went for a beer, missed the song and proceeded to yell about bring out the stand up throughout the whole evening. Of course he spilled his beer all over my wife too. He yelled at Jeff when he played anything except the alto (the whole night) because the "alto is the best sax, just not many musicians can play it right". Did I mention he was drunk, loud, obnoxious and it was his first show. The dude that brought him tried to disown him about 2 minutes into the acoustic set.

Oh and same guys were beyond excited when Cornbread was broken out and sat down all disappointed when Seek Up started :/

On a side note, this was kinda cool/funny in a good way.

Older couple in their 60's and One Sweet World just ends so the husband was gonna go buy some beer and started out of the aisle apologizing when Crash started so of course he comes right back in and listened to it with his wife.

Two guys behind me at Woodlands spent all of #27 arguing over who originally did this cover song.

About a minute into Stefan's Watchtower solo, some girl in the pit went running around the pit telling everyone in the vicinity that Watchtower was coming.

No section 304 which actually wasn't bad at all. I was worried about how well we would be able to hear the acoustic set, but it was great. Glad the sound crew figured out the venue after last year's poor quality.

In Pelham during the encore break a guy drunk off his ass was talking to these guys behind me about the good ole days when Alpine was a 3 night run.

He said that he was lucky enough to see Minarets back in the day because they don't play it anymore! It was played that night a fucking hour before his comment

This other guy then shouted "Cortez" and drunk guy was then asked have you ever seen Cortez. His response " yea man, well I may as well have"
