Re: The Gorge 2012

Went to the Citibank presale and got my Terrace camping pass... First time at Gorge that we're not having a lawn night! (Though should shenanigans ensue, I'll come out for a visit)

Terrace party anyone? At least we can start and go visit Premier and regular in that order picking up people on the way

Have fun. I feel like last years GA was enough for me. I'm a 6'+ guy, but my 5'3" gf wasn't all that thrilled.

I'll be excited to have reserved seats.

I had a mini heart attack when I looked at my bank account and I had a credit for the full ticket purchase. I then went on WH and I was still showing confirmed. I guess since GA pit is will call they will not be charging me for shipping and I'll probably see the actual charge with the correct amount come through tomorrow.

I only ordered Sun and was approved. Melissa ordered Fri & Sat and was only appoved for Fri. She used her friends Citi card to get the presale and got Sat pit. So we are set!

We figured she had a better chance since her membership goes to 2003 & mine goes to 2004.

    Re: The Gorge 2012

I've been going to DMB shows at the Gorge most years since '99...but I've always done GA and been happy to chill on the lawn. This year, I decided to join WH and try for better tickets for hubby and I and got 2 Pavilion Reserved. My question is (and please don't laugh) - where do those seats fall on the Gorge seating chart? Since I've only ever been a lawn gnome, I really never bothered to figure out what all of the "good" seats were called...

Thanks in advance for the info.

you won't find out for quite a while - they usually don't post the seat locations until the day before they ship the tickets out to you.

There's a good chance that yours will be somewhere in the 200's, judging by your WH join date (2 of the 3 nights will likely be done by seniority, so the most senior members will get the reserved seats just behind the Pit).

We won't find out where our seats are for a few more weeks. I like getting my tickets through the WH, but I hate all the waiting.
No one really knows exactly when they'll tell us where our seats are, but general consensus seems to be in about a month.

The Warehouse will release seating locations at some point in the coming weeks. Two of your nights the tickets will be seniority based, so you'll like be in one of the back sections off to the side and on the other night you could end up anywhere. All of the seats down there are great, but if you're on either extreme edge it can block your view of some band members.

Thanks for the info Riot, Mbutter, and DoDa - appreciate it. Is that the terraced grass area then? Trying to recall best I can. Again, so used to lawn-dwelling that I'm not quite sure.

You need a Citi card as you have to use it to actually purchase the tickets. I don't believe you need a Citi card for the camping tickets though.

If you can't get them from there, just keep your eye out on the boards. As we get closer they'll start popping up here and there.

We're renting a 30 foot motorhome, and staying in Premier. Anyone know if there's someplace we could park a car nearby so we could leave if we wanted without driving that huge rv everywhere? I don't think they'll let us park it in our camping spot, right?

It's possible (I've done it a couple of times)- just bring the RV in first and haggle for some extra room with the lot attendant if you have to, then just walk to camping pass back and bring the car in.

I'm WH 12/8/98, so based on that, do you think I'll get the 100s?

    I pulled:

    N2 - Pavilion reserved
N3 - Premium Ticket Package Reserved seating
    General Camping (requested Premier)

I'm not sure the diff between Pavilion and Premium Reserved? (Besides the obvious price diff.)

I'm sure your Premiums for N3 will be great seats. As far as your N2 tickets, of that night is the random night as opposed to seniority (which it traditionally is) your tickets could be anywhere in Reserved.

Reserved and Pavillion at Gorge are the same thing by the way.

    Re: The Gorge 2012

I'm flying in Thursday night and heading to the Gorge friday morning. I'm looking at all the rental options now. I wanted to know if any ants that had a similiar arrival schedule wanted to go in together on an RV rental. I'm going solo and an RV is too expensive/big for one person, but it would be a great deal if a few people went in on it together. If anyone else is wanting/needing an RV partner shoot me a PM. or e-mail walterecke@yahoo.com
