The Jets and Mets both shared Shea Stadium. I think it probably started there. Once they split up, I would assume families just passed on their allegiances to their kids.

Wanted to share this but didn't know in what thread to do so. My buddy, who is a phenomenal writer, turned 27 today. His column today was just incredible and really hit me in a couple places.

Sharing this with a few of my friends right now. I love the last part, "Find me there and know I found happiness amidst the struggle. Let me tell you about the time...". I could go on forever talking about those "times". Great piece of writing and great perspective. Loved his article on Tony Romo, too.

Also like to see Texas (wife's an alumni), Northridge (my alma mater, mid major with 2 tourney appearances), Dodgers, Inter (father in law's Italian league team) and LA Kings do well

well i am not sure. they probably were closer to the montreal expos and the montreal canadiens growing up. but they decided to bandwagon on the nation.

i have to say that anyone born in the US that roots for a Canadian team is a communist. If the Bills moved to Toronto I would be finished with them.

the peak of gocubs geography was saying that anyone from a new england state could claim the patriots, then listing off about 2-3 states that were not in new england
