^exactly, warren has a really full summer. Unless they got a lot done early this year, I really cannot see an album coming out this year.

Warren Haynes is just fucking tireless. Does the guy ever sleep? With all the projects he's involved in and the vast majority being of consistently high quality, sometimes I wonder if he's secretly cloned himself. |

Has anyone heard/seen the Mule with the new bass player yet? I've been really excited to hear some stuff with him. Andy Hess was good, but I always felt like his style wasn't quite right for them. Allen Woody had such and aggressive, attacking style that really helped give the band a lot of their bite. Hess was an excellent player, but he was also a lot more smooth and relaxed, and IMO some of the material didn't quite have the edge that stuff on "Dose" and "Life Before Insanity" did.

I really liked Andy with the band, I thought he was a very smooth player. When I saw them together last fall/ early winter I don't think Jorgen was ready to add much (he hadn't been with them very long), he didn't distract me any either. I'm sure at this point if I saw them together, he would be much more involved with the others.
I will say this, dude makes some funny faces while he's playing. |

Gov't Mule, in conjunction with Destination Concerts, is proud to announce The First Annual GOV'T MULE ISLAND EXODUS, taking place at The Grand Lido Negril Resort in Negril, Jamaica, January 15th through the 19th (4 nights).

I hope Farmer makes a book called True Roadie Stories. If he doesn't I'll bug him til he sits down with me so can record the stories and then publish them!! He has some great fuckin stories! Thats one of my favorite parts of hanging with Farmer.
