No, not at all. I'd liken it more to a sophisticated murder mystery type show. There are no forensics or anything like that.
It's about a college professor that is also a defense attorney who educates her students about building up the best possible defense case. In the first episode, she has them involved in the actual case she's dealing with, prepping them to come up with a reliable defense as a regular lawyer would.
In the meantime, someone also (predictably) dies, and a few of her students are involved in the murder.
There are a number of scenes in present day and in flashbacks that build up a mysterious plot that's pretty interesting and thought provoking.
The show opened with 14 million viewers (which is crazy), easily beating Grey's Anatomy and Scandal (not that that means all that much).
